Magnolia at Whitlock

I currently live at magnolia and if you want to wake up throughout the night to raccoons in your ceiling by all means move in. Day by day the sound will get louder and ur bedroom will start to smell like a raccoon and management does not care. They claim week after week that someone is coming and now after over a month and pee coming in through my light an exterminator shows up and does absolutely nothing but sit in the van. Don’t even think about calling the office because they almost never answer the phone. It is now Friday I still have animals scratching and running around in my ceiling and management isn’t even in the office. Do not move here

I love it here It's very warm, welcoming and inviting. The staff is excellent My husband and I worked and still work with Zelima Alexander She is GREAT‼ She's always dressed up, pretty and professional Everytime I see her in the office. There is another secretary there too. She's new....but I like her too. Her name is Michelle Ingram. - Very pleasant and professional as well‼ I want to thank the two of you for giving it your all. We know just How busy your workload is and your hearts are in the Right place. Thank you SO MUCH‼ The maintenance crew works great Even though the maintenance department is severely understaffed and needs more help/manpower. However, despite it all, the crew gets the work done as thoroughly, quickly and effectively as possible. It is obvious that the daily repair list for the department is neverending. Despite the understaffed situation, the maintenance team never has a poor attitude, listens to the tenants needs and tries to do their best‼

Do NOT move here unless you want to give your money away and wait weeks for things to be fixed and live with messed up things. Maintenance is awful they do horrible jobs. Leaking everywhere i have waited months to get things fixed but they just look around and say everything is ok. The tubs they just paint over old layers and are awful. Trash everywhere employees come to paint or do jobs in other apartments and leave garbage. And ROACHES everywhere. And not to mention my unit ac is also been leaking and they never fixed due to the climate. Again save your money and go elsewhere specially now that prices are going up.

This has been by far the worst apartment experience in my whole entire life! I have had problems from day 1. If you are at all able to choose somewhere else to reside please do so. I have had non-stop problems with my faucets, sometimes I don't even contact the office about it. I contacted them last week because I can't turn on my cold water-7 days later no one has come to fix it. My car has been broken into. Children bang on the doors and run. There is trash everywhere. I have to pay to a monthly fee for the most ridiculous trash service that I have never even used because the dumpster is like 10 feet from my door. The whole first year there was a giant gap under my front door where you could see out into the hallway. I can't forget the roach infestation and the broken mailboxes. I usually am not a complainer but if I could afford to move right NOW I would. You can get a much nicer apartment for less than what they charge you here. On the upside the staff has always been nice. June 2018 water is pouring into my apartment, it has been for over a week now.

So. .... Magnolia at Whitlock are totally trash!!!! I come home at 9:30 to no lights. Because of previous electrical issues, MP has shown me where my meter is. I go to the meter, and flick it like I was taught, still no power. I call the complex, which DID NOT answer the phone and left message. When someone finally gets back to me, it is now 11:30. Marietta Power comes out around 3:00 only to tell me I will have no power because the WHOLE panelling is a fire hazard. I have 2 deep freezers full of food and I am trying to packwith no help to be out by October 1st. I go to the leasing office to see of I can get some extension cords or see of the can help me out, it's closed. DO NOT MOVE TO MAGNOLIA AT WHITLOCK!!!!!! And at 5:30, they have left the property and I know NOTHING!!! Didn't make sure I was ok or anything!!! I have 2 deep freezers full of food that is going to go to waste because I have no power. Please!!! If you know what direction or someone I should call to get this rectified, I would appreciate it.

You'll be better off renting literally anywhere else. Not only did we have tons of issues with the apartment falling apart and maintenance never coming to fix it despite repeated maintenance requests, we also had to have our dryer replaced 3 times over the course of a month and we were not given any rent credit for not having a working dryer even though we were told we would get a credit. Now it has been 2 months since we moved out and we have not had our security deposit returned even though at the move-out apartment check we were told our apartment was cleaned very well. No one will answer the phone or return our calls despite repeated voicemails. Just incredibly unprofessional.

Do not rent here. Seriously. We've lived here for 4 months and already want to move out. We gave a list of repairs that needed to be fixed when we first moved in- a bunch of doors are falling off the tracks, bathroom sink drain stop doesn't work, no vent on the dryer, outer storage door lock doesn't work, etc- NONE have been fixed. They are renovating the outside hallways and they've left shattered glass and trash in the hallways. Today they powerwashed the hallways and I got home to a flood at my doorway INSIDE my apartment. My rug is ruined and I have a huge mess to clean up. I am NOT finishing out my lease here. They have also closed the office before closing time, making it so I cannot pick up my packages. There's a minor bug problem that no one seems to address. The apartment was dirty- spider webs everywhere wen we moved in. You are required to pay for trash pickup even though they never come on time if they even come at all.

This place is a disgrace when I applied as a military veteran that was on a fixed income the rates were always changing consecutively. They take advantage of you once the money is provided the respect goes out the window. I ended with a better apartment in the area with much more amenities and informed the female representative her attitude flared to 100 for no reason and she kept me money close to 250.00. I had to reach out for assistance to start my utilities with my new place because of this matter. Such a disgrace thanks Whitlock!

Extremely awful. Do not rent here. The woman happened to be a woman who started working at Belaire Apts when I moved out after 5 yrs of great rental history due to rent increasing and they sent an amount to collections that I did not owe and it destroyed my credit and made this move cost me approximately $1400 in non refundable apps and deposits and still is in the process of being corrected since the mistake happened in March 2020. I had no idea that this complex was even part of First Communities when I explained my credit situation . She was rude and hung up on me and since I was on the phone in the complex I came to the office door to talk to someone different. I went on facebook live since I had no one with me and they locked the door and called the police on me and I had done nothing wrong. MOST UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY EVER. Glad I had everything recording in real time and advised the Marietta police department and thanked them for coming out.

Just moved in on the 9th and already going through a lot of maintenance issues. Air vents and filters were never changed, there is a leakage under my sink which was reported a few days ago. The apartment was never moved in ready so everything including the toilets are nasty. The furnace is dusty and filthy. They painted the countertops and cabinets only when requested. The carpeting was not done on the day of move in. One of the front door hinges broken, which is a major security concerns and was reported also last Friday. They left me a paper that the job was complete only to find out they never did it any of the issues reported. The roaches and ants are terrible. Then I went back to the office to report it and sat there for over 20 minutes without being acknowledged and had to leave. This place is terrible. Don't waste your time. Don't waste your time and money. This is a terrible place to live. They pretend they care until you move in then you are no longer important.
