Fresh and taste really good. Their special rolls are awesome. One of the best sushi places I’ve ever been to. Will definitely come back again!
I use to live down the road from them for 3 years. They have always been the sushi place I ordered from. During the pandemic, I would order dinner every Friday from them, and I have kept the tradition going. I moved a little down the road, and while there are other sushi places closer to me, I still chose to order from them. My orders are always on time, delicious and great quality. The staff has always been kind with me. This is a great local establishment I will continue to support!
Place sucks. For starters, staff is terrible. Girl at the register has an attitude with customers and a dull personality. Also ordered spicy sushi and got regular. Also cashier tried to tell me that my card wasn’t working because I didn’t have enough funds when in reality I’ve been having issues with my swiping, so yeah. Oh and don’t dare sit down if you order at the register because, once again, the cashier will be a condescending, unhelpful a-hole.
Maki Bar is a delicious and wonderful culinary experience. The people working the were very patient and dedicated with there work. This has become a family favorite and we look forward to eating at Maki Bar whenever possible.
After a crazy trip to Trader Joe’s a friend and I decided to check this place out. It’s a cute little sushi spot was great prices and pretty good sushi! The fish tasted very fresh and the rolls were filling. The service was pretty good and it’s a great location. Definitely going back here if I’m nearby!
Melt in your mouth sushi. Get the Amazing Tuna roll. Out of this world!!! Reasonable prices. Really friendly staff. Lunch specials. Bento boxes. Forget the street parking, there's a parking structure behind the restaurant. Huge sushi platters are available for carry out only. Great price and perfect for parties.
July 6, 2020: Excellent sushi! Very generous portions for decent prices. We ordered the Sushi without Raw Fish D4 and the Sashimi Regular D6. The sashimi was cut very thick, maybe twice as big as what you get elsewhere. I was very amazed at the size of the eel, definitely twice as big as usual. The California Roll was also very generous with a big portion of crab and a thin layer of rice. Very expertly made too. In the D4, the tako sushi had gotten replaced by a nari I had already eaten it by the time a took a picture. I also noted that the seaweed was slightly stale, but still edible. I make allowances for this since we are still being impacted by covid. Quality will probably go up to 5 star worthy after the pandemic is over. When we went for pickup, everyone was wearing masks. They provide a pen that they sanitize after each use it has its own tray that the cashier sprays with alcohol. Overall, will definitely come again!
I love this sushi place! Every time I’ve coming the fish has been fresh and melts in your mouth. I love the crunchy spicy tuna roll sooo good, the salmon skin roll, and the salmon avocado roll! The miso soup is the best around. Fuji apple vinaigrette salad is delicious and fresh. Sometimes there can be a wait since it’s a busy little spot and if you’re lucky enough to get street parking this is great. I hate the parking garage - the shared one with Trader Joe’s and Target but still worth the visit. Great as an online delivery or pickup. I have never dined in.
Hm--mm. I wonder if anyone from Management is reading the Questions? I posted mine a while ago, but have received no answer. I LOVE the sushi, at Maki Bar. But I am tired of only being able to get carry-out there. And my question, still unanswered, is when, if ever, does Maki Bar plan to return to serving inside the restaurant? I do realize that Covid is a problem, of course, but for those of us fully vaccinated and boosted, it sure would be nice to be able to dine inside the restaurant, and not be limited to carry-out. I am only giving one star, because of this limitation. If/when Maki Bar opens for service inside the restaurant, I will give a much higher rating.
Super impressed with this cute spot for sushi. The restaurant is impeccably clean and the staff are polite and helpful. The fish is the most fresh of any we've tried in the area so far, and the rolls were creative yet fairly priced. We'll be back soon!
