Delicious chocolate bars, $7 each. I recommend this place to buy a chocolate bars ad gifts from Hawai'i as well as for a desert for yourself!
Milk chocolate was absolutely delicious! It is a little pricey, but it is made with 100% Hawaiian cacao and a small business, so well worth it!
Malie Kai Chocolates is a cute little artisanal chocolate shop in Waikiki. I love how each product is made of Hawaiian single origin chocolates that are grown locally on Oahu's North Shore. Malie Kai Chocolates is known for their chocolate bars that have their seashell logos on them and they have several flavors of both dark and milk chocolates. Lisa, the woman who was at the store when I went, was really helpful and knowledgeable. She gave me recommendations based on what I told her about the types of chocolates that I usually like. I ended up purchasing four chocolate bars - the Limited Edition White Chocolate with Tangerine Peel, the Limited Edition Milk Chocolate with Cocoa Nibs, the Cappuccino Bar Milk Chocolate with Kona Coffee, and the Dark Milk Chocolate 50% dark chocolate and 50% milk chocolate. Each chocolate bar was unique and delicious, but the Dark Milk Chocolate was the biggest surprise for me. I usually don't like dark chocolate, but I decided to get it based on Lisa's recommendation and she was right about the Dark Milk Chocolate being the perfect introduction to their dark chocolate collection for people like me who don't like dark chocolate and vice versa for people who don't like milk chocolate. I also got a box of Milk Chocolate Truffles with Kona Coffee Liqueur. They were good, but I still prefer their chocolate bars. They also sell T-shirts and tote bags with their logo on them that are apparently popular among tourists. The chocolates here are slightly pricey, but they are beautifully packaged, locally grown, and can last for a long period of time their truffles last up to six months and their chocolate bars last up to a year so they make for nice gifts or souvenirs from Hawai'i and it's a great way to support a local business.
A cute little chocolate shop in the Royal Hawaiian Center. The chocolate is tasty and is certainly fresh. I was also impressed that the staff working was so nice. They also have a few cute bags for sale in different sizes. The shop is big enough for a wheelchair but it is still a small space.
I currently live in Switzerland and was recently in Hawaii. I discovered the Malie Kai shop in Waikiki. My first thought was 'Don't need chocolate--I eat Swiss chocolate.' But then decided to buy some as a test for Swiss friends. They were so impressed with the flavors and quality. I was equally convinced that the reputation is well-deserved!!
Great service. I had the most recommended Milk, Cappuccino, and White Tangerine bars, they were all super delicious! Not too sweet, delicate flavors. It is definitely worth the price.
We love dropping in when we're in Waikiki, and when we leave, bring some back for friends. The dark chocolate with the cocoa nibs is our favorite!
I really liked their dark chocolate even though I usually don't like dark! But their dark milk is my favorite!!
The host was so sweet! The chocolate also was very good.
