This place is great! The two women working there when we went were so incredibly knowledgeable about their products, and the place was clean and beautiful. I would definitely do a tasting and/or tour there, but unfortunately due to a surge in covid cases tastings were cancelled glad they were being safe!. This is a fantastic place to get gifts too, and it is, of course, cheaper here than buying it at other stores or in the airport. There is a nice variety of chocolate bars that they can give you wine pairing suggestions for as well as chocolate tea, chocolate spreads, cacao nibs and more. They try to keep everything sustainable and use every part of the cacao bean to create less waste as well. We liked it so much we went twice in one day, and will definitely try to book a tour or tasting next time we go.
First, when you pull into the crowded parking lot, it’s kind of a bummer that you gotta plug a meter. That’s not really the fault of the business but that info is provided as a heads up. Seeing this building, you can tell, these folks like to have fun. Walking into the main entrance, you’re welcomed with the sweet aromas of chocolate. So rich, full, and drawing you in. An employee then greets you and gets you on your way to a tasting, tour, and/or a shopping experience. Let me say, there is chocolate here for every palate. So many variations of magical chocolate deliciousness. So yea, go here, enjoy some quality Hawaiian hospitality and chocolate!
We did the free chocolate tasting. The staff were very kind. Learnt a lot about chocolate and the unique way it is grown in Hawaii. The kids loved the experience, and we bought some chocolates on our way out. They also had vegan chocolates! A unique experience.
Fantastic Chocolate! Really delicious and unique. Cool experience to get to taste most of them. First time in Hawaii though and decided to do the tour as a lover of chocolate! I’ve seen quite a few tours before but this one was difficult to sit through. We walked around one tasting room getting very basic chocolate knowledge. Our tour guide was not passionate or enthusiastic, putting us almost to sleep although she was very sweet. They may consider making it a free micro tour until they get a bigger facility. Would not recommend the tour and the chocolate is quite expensive but for the real chocolate lover you will love their selection. The small business still deserves 5 stars.
We came for the free chocolate tasting and left with 2 delicious bars. The staff and very friendly, kind and good with kids. It was a fun way to learn about the island and chocolate making while having a unique experience on Oahu. It was a wonderful way to spend time with family walking around the town or a place to still enjoy your vacation in the rain.
My husband and I went on the chocolate tasting tour. It was so cool to learn about the process and try fresh beans very bitter! We tried samples of every kind of chocolate that they had, a majority of it being dark chocolate. Our sommelier was so very nice and knowledgeable!
We did the factory tour which was $15 per person. Got to try so many chocolate bars, but the only ones I really liked are the 5 bars made from Hawaii grown cacao the rest are made from cacao imported from other places and have added flavors instead of pure chocolate. Got to try chocolate tea which was really interesting! You won’t be able to tour inside the factory which is surprisingly small, but you can see the machines through the window. Most of them weren’t running when we were there so we didn’t get to watch the whole process, but they have some videos playing in the shop. Was a bummer because I thought we’d be able to see some chocolate making in action. If you’re interested in learning all about growing and making chocolate, the tour is very informative, but also quite long 1.5 hours. I would recommend doing the free tasting if you’re short on time. The chocolate bars are expensive, about $10 per bar, but after doing the tour they do give you a 20% discount.
All of their chocolates are delicious!! The staff are always so friendly. The tasting is awesome and totally worth the money! Went here when I got engaged and again when I was on my honeymoon. The gelato is delicious too. The cacoa wine is also so tasty - highly recommend!!! I wish they could ship the wine because I live on the east coast and it’s that good.
What a neat place! Great spot to stop during a rainy day or really anytime for that matter. We only did the walk-in tasting tour. The staff was knowledgeable, nice, and helpful in answering any questions. I left there with more chocolate and goodies than planned and it was worth it! Try the chocolate tea, I was impressed at how tasty it was. I also picked up a handful more of their chocolate bars from affiliate locations because I was so impressed from the first batch!
Amazing place! We were driving close by and thought we'd stop in and we're so glad we did! They provide a free, 10 minute tasting and you'll definitely want to buy some after. Super passionate, friendly and knowledgeable staff, I just wish they delivered to the UK! Great small, local business that you should seek out and show your support
