Easy Vietnamese, descent food & good price. Wish Pho was hotter, it was warm when I got it lots of stems with the basil. It is open late and happy to have this option around here.
Incredible service!!! They take extra care for your dish, the way they even deliver the extra spoon on a platter for you. The staff is so polite and smile and nod / “bow”. They deliver water for you automatically. I go to Mama Pho all the time in NYC because rarely can I find good pho in town. Everything is served in paper plates/bowls because covid
As someone who places a lot of trust in the google review system, I believe Mama Pho’s average rating 3.7 at time I’m writing is unfair and inaccurate. Pho is one of my favorite foods - I’ve eaten it on the streets of Hanoi and undertaken the 12+ hour process of making it at home, and I can confidently say Mama Pho makes very good pho. I ordered takeout which I have to imagine is slightly worse than dine-in and was completely satisfied. The broth is rich and flavorful, the fresh herbs were balanced, and the marrow and ribeye were tender. I will definitely be going back.
We ordered for delivery - there was a WET NAPKIN in the food. Additionally both dishes were missing their additional fried egg and the pork dish was fully raw. The food was a health and safety hazard.
If you’re on the fence, don’t do it. The $14 banh mi did not have much meat, or any flavor. The baguette had flour on the bottom. Pho was overloaded with raw onions and I was surprised the meat wasn’t cut. It’s one big slab, with too many greens and no way to eat it. Despite requesting utensils and napkins, I have neither. Avoid.. overpriced and feel embarrassed for getting ripped off so badly.
Came here for lunch. The vibe inside is very nice and relaxing. The food is always good and made fresh. The pho comes in a huge bucket and is always so tasty.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
My family and I were feeling sick so my amazingly sweet boyfriend ordered broth and rice for us, so cute and thoughtful But it hurts my heart he paid for this... They're charging $10 for a tiny container of broth only broth, nothing in it and $3 for one order of rice that looks like leftovers- bro it's got like 5 grains of rice are you kidding? Actual rip off, do not get food from this place. Can you believe this was $40 something?! I'm more offended for my boyfriend honestly and now feel even more sick Unbelievable place.
Delicious pho, let alone at 4-6am on the weekend when our group wandered in. The toppings were done for me/already in my bowl when the noodles were served, and it was done/portioned well. Overall, magical.
I eat pho all the time and I will tell you it is the WORST pho I’ve ever had and I will never recommend anyone go there. Let me list the reasons why. 1 restaurant nicely decorated which comes at a price - a bowl of mama pho was $18 after tax and $20+ after tips. Maybe this is normal price for some people but a bowl of authentic pho with everything in it is usually $13 and even cheaper before COVID. 2 we paid tip and thought that the waiters would at least give us water or tea. No one came to our table to wait on us. After waiting 15-20 min I asked the waiters for tea the waiters looked at me like I was speaking a different language...I’m sorry but how do you not have tea at an Asian restaurant...this is unheard of. 3 NOW THIS IS WHAT REALLY GOT TO ME, when I went to the front to ask for tea...I watched in horror as the cashier and kitchen staff made our food with NO GLOVES after touching everything in sight. I continued to watch them out our foods in the microwave like they were making cup noodles. I was so disgusted I wanted to leave but we all figured what the heck were already here so let’s just give it a t try. 4 when the food came...this was quite hilarious actually...the cup was about about maybe a little more than half way full. I look inside and there are about 3 pieces of meat in total, 2 of which are big and thick and chewy looking. The noodles were much thicker than any pho I’ve ever had and the soup was lukewarm. WHAT???? Ok whatever, it’s in front of me so I decided to take a bite...,the noodles were hard amd chewy like it wasn’t even cooked. I was furious at this point. I went up the staff and returned my bowl of disgusting undercooked pho. I was starving but I was so turned off I ended up walking down the block to buy pad Thai instead.,.and that pad Thai was $10 after taxes and tasted delicious. Goodness I hope no one ever has to have this experience if they have an inkling of an idea of what pho is supposed to taste like. This place is clearly all about profit and not about taste or quality of their food . I feel sorry for those who think this is representative of real pho. Before you go, choose an authentic viet restaurant and save yourself the $$ and grief.
Soup came cold. No napkins, no utensils. Their phone is not working, no way to order directly. Impossible to correct the order. 2 soups ended up almost 80$ had to re-order as when you get beef pho it’s just a broth then you have to go to different menu outside of soup menu to pick add-ons.
