Manhattan Fruit Exchange

Best place for fresh fruits and veggies in Manhattan. In fact, I'll make a special trip from Brooklyn, 15 minutes away. Prices range from average to inexpensive, and quality is ALWAYS top notch. Fantastic selection in a city where that usually means incredibly overpriced. Nice people, too!

I recently found out about this place and since it is a million times closer than trader joes, I am in love. Their veggies/fruits rotate sometimes and the lines may be a bit long but they move fast. I love their selection and they even sell pasta/eggs etc. It is a bit cramped but I cant really complain. It is the best option around.

A great grocery store for food lovers to shop for fresh ingredients. This store used to be packed with people all the time when it was on the ground floor at Chelsea Market, but the traffic is much slower at the new location in the basement. Saw some aged produces remain on display there. Not sure whether that's due to its slower merchandise turnaround at its new location.

Great selection and quality with fair prices for Chelsea. If you're strictly organic options are a little limited. Recommended.

It’s a small store within Chelsea Market but it packs a good variety of fruits, veggies, and grocery items. Prices are reasonable.
