I live at east wood crossing apartments and I have placed several work orders to the office and have not received any response and the work orders have said completed on the app which is absolutely not true. My electric bill every month is 200+ dollars because my hot water is constantly running and they have not fixed the leak. My sliding doors are off track and air seeps through because there is a large gap in the doors. The hallways are always disgusting because no one cleans them. People have stolen my clothes from the laundry room and I also never heard anything back from the office. Someone got shot right in front of the apartment building and I do not feel safe because the outside door does not lock the laundry room always has homeless people in it when I go to wash clothes. Maintenance never comes back when they do come. I don’t know who needs to see this message but I’m fed up with this property.
This place is absolutely disgusting! It is horrible unlivable conditions. The photos look great online but it is the complete OPPOSITE when you move in. I am glad my fiancé and I signed a 3 month lease and it is only because we were waiting for our new house to be ready. When you first come into the complex, you will notice BOTH entrance gates are in ruin as if someone plowed through them. There are pot holes and the outside is unkempt. The woman inside the office that was to meet us at the building of the apartment we were to move into and show us the inside, she STOOD US UP and left us hanging twice. Not a phone call and not even an apology. It was their grounds keeper that showed us the inside. When we went in, there were roach carcasses everywhere. The bedroom carpet was cover thick in powdered carpet cleaner. The tub was filthy, the tub faucet drips non stop no matter how tightly we turned the knobs. The tub water never goes down because the drain is clogged and the tub was filthy upon our arrival. The apartment is infested heavily with roaches. He and I have to spray daily to keep them down. All of the vents are covered mold. The screen doors do not lock and can not be opened. The bedroom door does not close at all because the top of the bedroom door was no measured properly. They simply threw it up and the top of the door hits the upper arch making it impossible to close. The hall ways in the building smell like pee. There is no fire extinguisher either and it has blunt papers in its place. My apartment door is dented and busted. It looks like someone tried to break in at some point. The people here are disgusting. The hallways are filthy, carpets are stained. The front door to the building is ALWAYS left wide open. There is a woman in apartment 10 that loves to crack her door open and then when she hears your footsteps she immediately closes it and locks it. The apartment above us, they stomp around and constantly play their surround sound up high. People ride their dirt bikes here in circles around the building for hours disturbing the peace. We better get our security deposit back when our 3 month lease is up or our attorney will be involved. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! UPDATE! Since you refuse to give us our money back, we’ll see you in court!! I have all the evidence!
been living here for almost 2 years, in that time my AC has only worked for maybe 3-6 months. They do not send anyone out to fix it but the second i don’t pay my rent cause i can’t stay in my home they want to file for eviction. this apartment complex has no manager and probably needs housing authority contacted because they don’t care about their residents safety in 100 degree weather.
Cars get broken into almost nightly. Car windows are smashed and the apartment complex doesn’t reimburse you and their security isn’t up to par for all the issues they have there. Their “gated” community isn’t gated. The apartment complex is trash and the people living there doing what they gotta do deserve way better.
EDIT: I would like to preface this by saying that I hope things have changed. They may have, though it seems that other recent reviews beg to differ. They were just beginning the transition to a new management team while I was there. As such the "team" mentioned below may no longer be working there. With that in mind, here is my original review: Horrible complex and management team. Please, please avoid this place. Pest infestations are community-wide. Work orders go unfulfilled. Fake emails are provided. Money is stolen and lost, and so much more. How this place is still open is absolutely beyond me. Would give zero stars if it were possible. One of the worst parts is that there is, or at least was, potential here. Also, while this is hopefully not the fault of the management team, I witnessed a kidnapping and multiple shootings while here. Please stay safe.
New management Is no better than before please don’t believe that there have been changes made just because they say new management has changed because it still poorly managed. the grounds here are terrible they only cut the grass on the outskirts but once you go inside of the apartments the grass is high up to your knees. dog poop everywhere the trash is filled to the top bags of trash are all around the dumpster and then they only dump the trash seems like once a month. the dumpster will sit there filled to maximum capacity for weeks before it Is empty. Then there is only two dumpster locations for the entire complex. People drive with trash bags on there car because there is no dumpster near by. maintenance is a joke heat don’t work in the winter air don’t work in the summer they only do temporary fixes nothing is ever completely fixed. They say there is security but they can’t pay for that so you never see them. I asked groundskeeper why the dumpster hasn’t been dumped for 2 weeks he said because the office hasn’t paid them. That’s why there is also a mice infestation because they don’t properly manage the trash. Then when it gets hot outside fly’s are everywhere I mean by the hundreds because of the trash not being dumped. The grass is just ridiculous. Even when they do cut it it’s only in particular areas and it’s still high. I can go on and about this place I just don’t have the time. So to sum it up just go elsewhere! Update they paid or did something so that my review is pushed so far back or paid so that it isn’t visible cause when I log into my other Google account you can’t see my review.
Moved into my new apartment in January. Turned my work order form in because THIS apartment was NOT ready for me to move in. There were SO many things wrong with it. Never heard anything so I reached out two weeks after I turned in my paperwork. Got told someone was going to come and check the apartment NO ONE CAME. I called and emailed plenty of times and I would get the same answer every time. spoke to the Manager beginning of may or April I’ve been reaching out so many times I lost track and she told me the same thing that she will put my work order in and someone would reach out. NO ONE HAS REACHED OUT! To this day these two pictures show a couple of things that need to be fixed around my apartment. The dishwasher never gets used yet water fills up and smells DISGUSTING! Blinds been broken both in my bedroom and living room since I moved in. There is a leak in my other room and many other things. For rent at almost $1000 I EXPECTED better service from this management. This is my last resort and see if anything gets done.
Scheduled a tour and showed up on time only to arrive to the office being closed when they should still be open. Not sure how a tour can be approved to then show up and not have anyone on site.
This place is horrible. On July 30 I called emergency maintenance due to my bathroom ceiling leaking. Maintentence came that evening and put 5 holes in the ceiling to allow water to drain. He said maintence would be back out the next day. After a few days I contact the office and they say someone will be out. I've been going back in and forth to this office to get this matter fixed. On Feb 15 I received an email stating the the work order had been completed and closed!my ceiling still isnt fixed They charge you for pest $6 per month, would not be a problem if they actually serviced. I spray my own apartment monthly to keep the rodents at bay. When it snowed the property was not properly treated. Lets talk about the amenities that we should have access to. 2 pools and only 1 opened for about 2-3 weeks at the end of the season. A workout room that the office said would be sending out keys to residence that I have yet to receive. A dishwasher was left out on the property for over a month after cleaning out an apartment. The management team is TRASH! I asked for the number to a supervisor over the property manager and they gave me a fictitious email.
Just read the reviews these are 100% facts! And what’s crazy they raise the rent. And put a note on your door if you don’t pay to evict you what we paying rent on when and how’s it going up when literally nothing is done
