I've been with Plaza East 2months. The grounds are kept beautifully. Grass is mowed every Friday by a professional lawn company, new sidewalks. Idk why people say grounds are dirty. Maybe I'm in the opposite end of the property because my unit is in the end of the building and I love living in it. It's quite, all the neighbors keep to themselves. I myself like it that way, I'll say hello and good bye but don't really get into anyone's business. I have parking at the foot of my kitchen door. And an option for street parking on my living room entrance. I have a full basement, three bedrooms upstairs, a good sized living room and dinning room. Wood floors throughout. Plenty of closet storage. Washer and dryer connections in the basement. My basement is clean, windows a covered and my whole unit was freshly painted when I moved in. Not to mention,,I have a gas stove, not electric, and a dishwasher. **My rent is worth my piece of mind!
Plaza East Town Homes are amazing and thats putting it lightly. This community is in the middle of the Kansas City Metro area near the Plaza and it is the certainly the talk of the town. I recently had the pleasure of renting a townhome and it was one of the best decisions I ever made for my living style. Lets talk about the style, location and overall score it is superb. My leasing agent Joe Medina and Cheryl Holder are exemplary professionals that hold true to high quality standards. This property is under new ownership with an overwhelming array of floor plans to meet any budget. The new renovations have been done with excellence and class and whoever is looking to relocate or just a new home to call your own. Plaza East is at 1500 E. 46th street. Definitely a place to call home. Give them a call. I guarantee you will be a very satified customer.
I moved in 2 weeks ago, and have had nothing but issues since. When I arrived, my fridge was broken, the toilet didn't flush, there was more floor wax on the walls than the floor, my dishwasher leaks, there's no dryer vent, the outlets were against fire code, my front door had a different lock no one had keys to. Every time it rains more than a drizzle my basement floods with backed up sewage water. It is nearly impossible to get them to take any action. No one answers the phone, emailed are rarely responded to. You have to talk to them in person and your lucky if someone's even in the office. When I do manage to talk to me, every single time they say someone's gonna do it today, but no one shows up. Once the head maintenance main did come over and left a bucket of trash in my living room. I absolutely would not recommend this place, my life has been a living nightmare since I moved in.
This place is an absolute scam. They will take deposits before background checks are complete. My friend was set to move in mid June, then 2 days before he got the keys, he got an email stating he wasn't approved. They have yet to return the deposit and the realtor of the apartments seems to be in protective custody because they can only send messages there is no direct line to the manager. Stay away from this place.
The management is very unprofessional and hallways and grounds are trashed. I was a vendor who completed a lot of work and now have to take them to court and place a lien on the property to get paid. I would not recommend this property to my enemies. Please do not work for them you will never get paid. I have outstanding invoices that go back to December. The company has no morals and professlism. PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BLOCK MULTIFAMILY GROUP. SEE YOU IN COURT! And trust me they are not luxury!
My experience with Plaza East Luxury Apartments has been a case study in over-promise and under-deliver. We applied for a townhouse in April of 2021 and were approved that same month, asking for a move-in date of June 15th. We were given access to the tenant portal, paid the deposit, and waited for final confirmation that we could move in. On June 15th, the date we asked to move in on, the agent said the building wouldn't be ready until August and asked if we could wait that long, knowing our lease expired at the end of July and presumably knowing most landlords are, at best, EXTREMELY reluctant to give extensions. We said we couldn't wait and would have to pass. The agent said since we hadn't put down a security deposit which we had, it would would not trouble to cancel. When we corrected her, showing receipts, she said the deposit would be refunded. I asked when we could expect it, and she referred us to "Chelli", presumably a property manager or someone in the company's finance department. After spending several minutes and two calls confirming who I was and what the situation was apparently, the leasing agent didn't brief Chelli on anything, she said a refund would be issued, but that they had 30 days to do so. A month later, I called asking about the status of that refund, having to reexplain who I was and what the situation had been, and she said their billing cycle delayed it by a couple weeks. A couple weeks later, I called and asked what the status on the deposit was. She told me that they'd cut a check and mailed it out, but then decided they needed to recall it and divide it in two between myself and my partner since we were both on the lease although the records clearly show the deposit was paid on my card and account, but the checks were in the mail, and I confirmed they had my new address for that purpose. I called asking for another status update a couple weeks later, and was told that, since I had moved from my old apartment obviously the address change might have delayed the checks, even though I had confirmed my new address with them previously. It had now been about three and a half months. They've never contacted me, my messages have never been returned, and there's been no sign of the deposit refund or any correspondence explaining the delays. I find it difficult to believe I'm being treated with any honesty or integrity, being fed the old punchline "the check is in the mail". Save your receipts and be prepared to be given the runaround if you have any dealings with them.
I have lived here now for over fifteen years and the entire complex has only gotten better over time. Problem tenants have been removed. Apartments have been remodeled the newest remodels just look great - modern and stylish. Security gates have been added and electronic locks. Maintenance requests are handled quickly. The office staff is friendly and helpful. Rent has gone up everywhere - like everything else - but I still can't think of a real reason to give up my apartment.
When I first moved into this apartment complex it was under different management and there was egg on the counters and ants all over the windows. The unit itself was fairly damaged, with a large mouse hole in the wall. I left the apartment clean and tidy and was then charged an excessive amount of cleaning fees. The maintenance on the property was very poor and at one point a dead tree that I had pointed out to the office before fell on my car, or at least that's what my neighbor said when I tried to find out what happened. The guard rails outside were damaged about a year ago when the current management took over and still damaged when I left a few months back. A window leading into a steep drop into the unpopulated basement area was frequently left open where a small child or even an adventurous older kid could easily fall down and injure themselves. I can understand the condition of the apartment being bad when I moved in because of previous management, but the current management didn't really make much of a difference in my opinion. The area is very bad and you should not go out at night if you have the misfortune to move into one of these units. The only good thing about this complex is it's distance to the Plaza, but really, it's not worth it. I sincerely advise against moving in here. I hope you find this review helpful. Seriously, if you have a choice, don't move into this neighborhood.
Been living here 2 years almost going on 3 haven't had any problems with any neighbors or with the management. Tiffany is the best when it comes to apartment management and also handling her business she is also very helpful with anything that you may need. There were also times where I was coming short on rent and Tiffany was able to help find ways so that I can cover the remaining of my rent and also make sure my son and I will not be without a home. The apartments could use just a little bit more construction work but other than that Plaza East Apartments is a wonderful place to live
Maybe last year or the year before was ok, but now it definitely is not. The so called tenents here everything but people. Gun shots up and down the street . You just have to go day by day and give them a chance because all places have there problems, most come from around the complex or they're invited in. Whatever this has been my place to stay for 12 years. Ms. Gant has been business like and good at her job, maintenance was quick and recently did a clean , good job. I'll post again later.
