If it’s good enough for Frank Sinatra, it’s good enough for me! A staple of the area, here you will find Philly’s most iconic tomato pie! Fresh and delicious, with reliably consistent sweet garlic tomato sauce that will transport you to nirvana every time you have a bite of this mouth watering goodness. Prepare to be satisfied! Service is welcoming and friendly, and I haven’t been disappointed to date. Whether you are coming from out of town or another part of the city, you’ll be glad you did! Be mindful the tomato pies come in half or whole - no buy by the slice here but honestly how could you buy just one slice?!, and be aware CASH ONLY!
The tomatoe pie was banging as always, but today we got the pepperoni bread and I just have to ask what kind of Italian person uses American Cheese on their pepperoni bread!? Blegh so gross. I'm sure it would be awesome with mozzarella but I can't give 5 stars for American cheese on Italian food.
There is a reason this place is famous for their tomato pie. While only living here a year I can comfortably say hands down that this is the BEST tomato pie in the area. My partner grew up in the area and also vouches so take her word if needed! Pictured is their half tomato pie which I split with my partner and foolishly devoured over the course of a few hours. The tomato sauce has this unique richness while the bread maintains a delightful chew complimented by the perfect side and bottom crunch. The mouthfeel, flavor, texture, and taste keep me coming back for every next piece until this masterpiece miraculously disappears! Not pictured is their specialty spinach cheese stuffed bread which was heated at home to a perfect browned crust and gooey inside. If you find yourself in Manayunk or the surrounding area be sure to add this inexpensive tasty treat to your list!
Have enjoyed some of their product before, it’s great. The store simply is not open long enough throughout the day. Closing in the early afternoon seems reasonable for a breakfast diner. However, a bakery stands to gain more business if one operates at times coincident to a whole day’s meals and cooking occasions.
Marchiano's is the best kept food secret in all of Philadelphia. They focus on old-school Italian classics, with a few modern twists, and make them EXTREMELY well. Tomato pie and specialty breads are out of this world. 5-stars are not enough for this family-owned landmark shop.
A city classic with the best tomato pie. Always worth the trip to manayunk.
So as you guys know, I’m the PhillyFoodFanatic. Stopped by this place to try their bread and Google says they’re open till 3 so I stopped in at 1. The door was locked and and the guy gave me the go away sign. Too bad for him because my 20 million views and millions of followers will be directed elsewhere. Good job buddy
Awesome little shop with great breads. Very cool that they have things that you can take and bake so you can serve them "fresh" to your guests. Can be busy enough to have a line out the door, and I love a place like that. Delicious!!
This is an excellent tomato pie, might be the top rated tomato pie currently in Philly , call your order in ahead, pick it up later. Picture attached is the whole pie, 32 Delicious pieces. 8.2 score
Five people at the counter half hour after the open and the phone rings off the hook busy busy busy ring and disconnect busy busy ring disconnect busy busy ring disconnect, I finally get there and everything is sold out less than an hour after they open I told him I was trying to call they give me a excuse they only have one line yet that you fit wouldn't account for why that phone rang off the hook the whole time three different times with five people at that counter they clearly just all wanted to go home early by selling out as fast as possible not customer friendly
