Marcos Quinones, LCSW

Marcos Quinones is a former software engineer which made a career transition to psychotherapy because he wanted to help people. Being a software engineer myself, I felt that he could understand me the best. When I came to see him, I was feeling depressed and I would sometimes get panic attacks in social situations. Also generally I would not open up to people. After a couple of months, I no longer felt depressed, I no longer got panic attacks, and opened up to people more. I made this progress after the sessions I had with Marcos where I would bring a topic and he would listen, give advice, and give actionable itemstake home assignments or challenges. In which he would follow up with me at the next session. Also when I lost my employment he even offered me a free session while I looked for a new job. Today I am in a job I love where I am being paid competitively and I owe some of my success to the help I received from Marcos.

I took a Dialectical behavior therapy class with him. It was a great class! The activities done in class was so life changing for me in a positive way. I began to accept myself more and be more comfortable with myself. I always looked forward for his class. This class was an "Aha"..moment for me.
