Worst doctor EVER...She literally abandon me as a patient. I make an appointment with her because my OB doctor refer me to this doctor. They made my appointment to visit the doctor for a consultation 1 1/2 moth after to see what is the best treatment for my breast tumor. They have requested insurance information, medical records of my mammography, biopsy and ultrasound. Everything was provided right away. 3 days before the appointment, after one month and a half, they call me to talk about the insurance and asked me if I'm willing to pay the deductible and the co-payment for the doctor visit which was $75.- I responded yes I'd pay for that and when I've asked for how much the deductible they told me they don't know that could be $2500 and I ask for what, they respond me just in case my insurance I have 2 one for mayor procedures which cover anything pretty much won't cover. And again I've asked what I need because I only going to see the doctor for JUST A CONSULTATION to what will be the next step, so they mention chemotherapy, surgery etc, etc, again I just need to go for a consultation so at this point did not have any diagnosis. The conversation on the phone became really inappropriate, they treated me like I'm stupid when I was asking questions about why the deductuble and payments for something that I don't know if I would need. They basically force me to say YES to accept to pay the deductibles which I'd would not have a problem to do so, So I say YES to that. After 5 minutes they called me back saying the"Doctor" does NOT feel comfortable taking my second insurance cover everything we used for my husband Two past procedures and we did not have any issue. So I waste one month and half on my health waiting for this appointment, treated like just a number or worst not to mention my appointment was on December 22nd almost Christmas day. Now I have to look for some other doctors and options because of THIS BAD AND irresponsible doctor, who was playing with my health in such a sensitive matter and wast my life time. Please to other doctors and patience don't refer her to anyone. Shame of Dr.Margaret Terhar, MD
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Terhar. She is warm compassionate and she knows what she is doing. Last mamogram showed that all the tumors are gone. My family has 34 women including aunts, cousins, grandmother's,sisters and of course my mother. I am the only one out of all those women to get breast cancer. And now I don't have it either.
Dr. Terhar is a skilled and compassionate surgeon. I am happy that she's a part of my care team. I really appreciate her willingness to listen and explain my care in terms I can understand. I also commend the nurses and office staff members Dr. Terhar has chosen -- they have always treated me patiently and kindly.
Love love love Dr. Terhar! She gets straight to the point while still being compassion. She was always very patient with me even though I was very stubborn consistently refusing the next stage in treatment. Helped me beat breast which I will be forever grateful for. The rest of the staff is also amazing. Especially Terri from billing I was unaware of an additional insurance which caused her to reduce a considerable amount of paperwork. Just an overall great energy from the team.
Dr Terhar saved my life. She's phenomenal and her staff is wonderful. She is not only a great surgeon but she really cares.
Wonderful surgeon!! While the anesthesiologist was putting me to sleep, Dr. Terhar held my hand until I was asleep. She made me feel safe.
I felt that Dr. Terhar was very knowledgeable about breast disorders and gave me the confidence that I only had a fluid-filled cyst and not cancer. After a few weeks the cyst disappeared, and I have no more issues at this time. I have an extensive family history of breast cancer, and I feel that Dr. Terhar is concerned about it, and has me on a regular follow up plan.
Recent positive mammogram and ultrasound with referral to Dr Terhar. After ultrasound guided biopsy I am blessed with negative result. She was beyond comforting with step by step explanation of her treatment plan. Totally trust her going forward. I have the ultimate medical treatment.
I had an appointment last week to see Dr. Terhar. I arrived 30 miutes early at 1:15pm...my appt was at 1:45pm. I was taken into a patient room at 1:45pm, and I waited to see the doctor until 2:30pm. After waiting 45 minutes, I got dressed and left because I had another appt at 3:00pm. Her office called me a few days later, however I missed their call, and they did not leave a voicemail. I assumed they were calling to apologize for the doctor's tardiness. Today they called again, wanting to make sure that I received the voice message that Dr. Terhar would not see me for my rescheduled appt this Thursday. Apparently, she was upset that I left her office after waiting 45 minutes. They said I need to find another breast surgeon, as she will not see me. I told them that was fine because I am also a busy person and don't have time to wait 45 minutes to see a doctor, especially when no one even came into the room to give me any explanation as to why she was detained. I don't know if this is how she operates her practice on a routine basis, however, I am happy to find someone else.
My primary doctor put in a referral 2 1/2 weeks ago for me. I called to schedule an appointment and the receptionist was somewhat rude. She asked if I had a referral which I said yes. She said your doctor has to send it over . I said I believe they did. She said "well what's your name?" So she put me on hold . When she came back on the line she stated that your test are normal so we dont need to make an appointment for you". I said so I cant schedule an appointment? She said I will double check with the doctor and get back to you". This was a week and a half ago. I will be taking my referral else . Never had I been denied an appointment with a doctor.
