The bartender with the red hair started yelling at the blonde bartender because she made a mistake with our drinks… and then the same bartender with the red hair started yelling at ME- a guest, when I took 3 minutes in the bathroom and said “I work here you need to get out of the bathroom” … she was so rude to her coworker and to me and made our whole bachelorette group uncomfortable. This was on Friday July 8th at 10pm.
I used to thoroughly enjoy my nights out at Mark's Place, however lately I've noticed the bartenders would rather dance on the poles than do their jobs. Last night I was kicked out at the request of a bartender after calling her out for spilling a drink on me whilst dancing on the pole. Completely unprofessional. If the bartenders want to dance on the poles instead of doing their jobs, by all means go for it, HOWEVER maybe take all the drinks off the bar first so you're not constantly kicking them on people. -1/10
I went in on a Saturday night about 9:15 and it was pretty empty. I had heard the music was good it was and had two R n C while watching the game and listening to the DJ. Younger crowd started coming in about 10:30. I asked for a beer and bartender told me I was cut off. I paid my bill and stood and listened to the music and enjoyed watching the nightlife. Bouncer came up to me at 11:10 and told me to leave because I was standing there all night. I was there without my wife and bothering nobody. Unsure of why I was such a threat that they felt the need to throw me out.
This place is a real dive bar. My girlfriend and I left the bar to talk outside. When we went back inside, she accidentally walked past the bouncer, and he proceeded to grab her forcibly by the arm. She was not asked to see her ID, after we were patronizing their bar. Instead she was assaulted inside of the bar by the bouncer and forcibly removed for no reason whatsoever. She asked to get her purse, to show her ID. Seconds later, she was in a full bear hug by the bouncer being thrown out of the bar for absolutely no reason. We had full drinks and we were thrown out of the bar for walking back in and missing the newly appointed bouncer. When I asked to speak to the manager, he would not give me his name. The bouncer refused to give his name as well. This is unacceptable. We are going to sue the pants off of marks place. It’s no wonder this place has such a low rating on google. Avoid at all costs!!!
The getting into the building is awkward. There is a key box outside which unlocks down door and another upstairs for apartment door. Was instructed to leave keys in box I would suggest a keypad lock. The apartment was spacious and excellently appointed but there was no cable. Also it's over a bar very very nosey. Also there is no parking. None for free. Across the street a parking garage $50.00 a night. Just another added expense. You book this space for X dollars and then add fees at the end. All In all although I really wanted to stay "IN" the old port I could have as a single or couple stayed at one of the close boutique hotels close by for less. I never write bad reviews I generally distrust them but buyer beware here there be dragons. Dont believe me check it out. I was very excited to be "IN" the old port
Floors so sticky felt like my shoe was gonna get stolen
Wow. So rapey I couldn't believe my eyes. Free rufees for dudes that know the employees. Got kicked out for being a nice guy. Good luck with your drug sales. Wont. Be. Coming. Back.
Local bar and dance place located on Fore Street in Portland's Old Port. Fair drink specials are run on the regular. Ladies may indulge themselves and dance on the bar top.
Kinda tight but the music is great! Wednesday and Friday is prime time!. Stripper pole is a nice touch
Beer selection poor. Food is poor. Owner is a weird dude. Not a good fit for downtown. Buffalo Wild Wings-esque
