Stopped in for lunch right at opening on a Sunday. Seated immediately, of course. We ordered items from both the brunch menu and the regular menu. Server was great, made sure our drinks did not get empty. Food took about 30 minutes to come out, but was hot and fresh. No problems with our visit.
We consistently have good experiences at this Marlow's location. The service and food quality are always top notch. The menu varies seasonally and they always have new/interesting dishes to try, along with the year-long staples on the menu. We had the shrimp and grits and the grouper sandwich on our last visit, both were great. Really can't go wrong here.
We had a great experience while traveling thru town. The menu was creative and diverse as well as providing staple items. Good atmosphere and spot on service ... thank you for a great meal.Food: 5/5
Not too pricey, and our server Kennady was super sweet. Good local beers. Hubby enjoyed his burger and their whole fried okra. My grilled veggie burger was tasty, but kept crumbling. Nothing a good binder/egg and a hot sear on the patty wouldn't fix I got a side of horseradish aioli which just tasted like mayo but, when added to straight horseradish-- game on! The Creme Brule was ok for dessert, but the real standout was the Fish Dip appetizer which, with one of their cold beers, was worth the trip on its own! Go!
Went for a Business lunch. We got wings, which were pretty good, asparagus fries ,the poke as appetizers, all good. So imagine my surprise when I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich! Now it looked so tasty so the fact that this was theeee most bland sandwich I ever tasted was depressing I mean no salt no pepper, no flavor, just chewy air, like, it was a grilled sneaker sole ZERO SEASONINGS. Nada..but if you're into that kinda thing, this is the entree for you!
Had a great brunch here. The biscuits were delicious and the Bloody Mary hit the spot. Service was great. Will be back to try more brunch items again. Looking forward to trying out their dinner menu.
Great food. Nice atmosphere. The best shrimp and grits you'll ever find. Try the Tavern Burger or the Black and Blue Steak salad. Also, their J.T.’S KETTLE CHIPS are out of this world. Marlow's Tavern is a great place for an intimate date night or a group celebration. They have indoor seating as well as enclosed patio seating. Definitely recommend this place.
Been to a few different Marlow’s locations, always a good experience. The prime rib french dip, while $18, is always amazing and I’ll likely order it every time even though the pitiful amount of aus jus it is served with is hardly sufficient for half a sandwich, you’ll need to ask for more. My wife had a burger and it was fantastic. Big and juicy, obviously quality ingredients. We also tried the pimiento arancini fried rice balls and they were great. The service is great, and the ambience is cool and cozy while feeling more upscale than a standard pub, and I think that’s what justifies the higher than expected price for most items.
Every time we go here for our date nights, we are always pleased. Linsey/ Lindsey forgive me if I spell it wrong was our server both times we came and she was phenomenal. She takes pride in your job and you can tell she loves the atmosphere and thrives in it. She made sure we were okay and explained different things they were out of as well as other substitutions. I had the chicken panini with okra and it was amazing. We will definitely keep this our number 1 date spot.
Visited this restaurant for my husband's birthday and it was wonderful! Our family has a rule about not going to restaurants in the last hour because usually the experience is horrible. But Marlow's was AMAZING! The server we had was Savannah and she was pleasant and attentive. Our food was great as well. Kudos to the chefs in the kitchen! We were also attended by a server who wasnt assigned to our table an old he was awesome as well. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant for a casual night out or for special events :
