Less than 2 weeks ago, I stopped by the Adele H Stamp Student Union Building via the University of Maryland College Park campus to get a breakfast sandwich from McDonald’s My husband and I have been to this place multiple times. The building has a food court area that has multiple eating places Mcdonald’s, Sbarro’s, Panda Express, Qdoba, Chic Fil A, Maryland Dairy etc. There is also a bookstore that carries a multiple variety of books and a coffee place. There are also multiple chairs to sit andor relax during the day, however obviously peak times influence how crowded the place can get.
Awesome college baseball field! Well maintained turf and excellent playing experience for my high school aged boys
I went to the University for work, went to get lunch it wasn't even like I was campus except for all the students and parents lol. It was almost like being in a mall. I enjoyed my lunch great selections of places to choose from to eat especially when you have a Chick-fil-A on campus everyone knows that Chick-fil-A is the best with wonderful customer service
Home of the National History Day contest and they do an awesome jobs hosting the event. Staff is very helpful.
It's starting to become a homeless hangout! They need to tell these folks to go somewhere else and not be sleeping there before it's even open! It's supposed to be for students or others to get work done etc.
Most aspects are good for presenters and audiences, although the ventilation system with air conditioning takes a little while to start up in the presenting rooms
Nice facility. Many large multifunction rooms. Modern tech with video screens from the ceiling, and full computer integration.
Nice place to sit and eat for students of UMD and non students alike. They have a wide variety of restaurants to choose from, and they will have more soon since some of the shops closed due to COVID restrictions they have 6 right now and have a 7th in the works. The places to choose from are actually surprisingly healthy too, except for the ice cream shop. They have a coffee shop upstairs too, you have to look a bit to find it.
Saw Maryland Night Live. It was great!
Considered the heart of UMD. This is the student union for the university. Nice place to grab some eats with a number of choices. The is a bowling alley downstairs and meeting rooms upstairs of varying sizes. There is also a movie theater. Typical university stuff. The dining area and hallways have great photo murals and photographs along the walls displaying the history of the university. There is a really good souvenir shop there with all sorts of Maryland Terps gear. Occasionally, there are job fair and other events all can attend held here. The down sides are tight streets, sometimes limited parking, and the fact that a railway is being built right through the middle of the university to stop right in front of stamp. This will add to awful congestion at that spot and make walking through the university much less pleasant. Also, the famous historical M is being displaced because of the light rail being built.
