Massage Envy does a great job, always professional, relaxing, clean and comfortable. They’re always updated with newest best technology and services. You just have to keep trying out different therapists and estheticians until you find one that fits your needs and preferences specifically !
Angela was awesome therapist. But massage envy’s In General do not seem to be bouncing Back very well. Not sure if they are not compensating their therapist enough or incentives? They are struggling. It is not just this location I go to several different locations. But it is hard to get an appointment. hours still sporadic. Not this one idk? I would cancel my membership if I did not have so many massages built up to use that I would lose if I canceled my membership. I still may. And just use half of my appointments and forfeit the rest. Because I can get an appt and too many other places that offers the same services
My 5 star rating is based on my massage experience with Sonia. I had a 90 minute massage with her & I can honestly say that it has been the most de-stressing massage that I have had at this location. She asked the right questions, cared to know of any issues & cared how comfortable I was during the process. She made sure the lighting was right & the music in the room so I can relax. I felt very comfortable & honestly dozed off a few times during my massage. I will be scheduling another appointment with Sonia for my next visit
I went in yesterday to get a gift card for a present. There were two customers in front of me both upset about scheduling issues. One customer came and the appointment was canceled but she didn't receive a call or notification or anything. The prices are inflated and the recommended tipping is outrageous. I have had a massage there before though, and it was very nice. The office staff is just struggling. Apparently they are going through some staffing changes.
Don’t go there! They are racist! I researched this location and read the great reviews then decided to send my husband and his uncle, from out of town to get a massage. The phone conversation went well, he was greeted warmly and scheduled for the same day at 9am. They were informed to arrive 10 minutes early. Upon arrival, early, the registration was completed and to their surprise the manager came to inform that the masseuse has a car problem and couldn’t come. The manager, who refused to give her name, then went on, very condescending to come back at 1pm. After persisting, she stated her name was Holly Gilmore. How could you let them schedule, sit down and complete forms then to tell them that there was no one available. They feel that the real reason was because they were two black males and they didn’t want to provide the services that was agreed upon. He was so embarrassed in front of his uncle. This is the 21 century and this is still going on in a public business. Shame on you.
This review is for the overall quality of 3 deep tissue massages, and the value for the price of those massages. Two of the massages I received myself, the third was given to my wife, who shared with me the details of her experience. My first massage was actually quite good, and had I only received this one massage and posted a review based on that alone, the review would have been much more positive. I had the same therapist on both occasions. During the first massage he was very thorough, and the quality of massage was quite good. I noted a marked improvement in range of motion in my affected shoulder, and a significant decrease in pain. The first massage was for one hour, and was billed at the introductory rate of $50. I was a little surprised when the receptionist suggested that I offer a tip for the service. I feel that it is extremely poor form to ever request a tip, regardless of the quality of service. However I obliged with a 20% tip, since the therapist had done good work. My wife scheduled my second session, and also scheduled one for herself at the same time. At no point was it made clear to her that my next session would cost significantly more than the cost of my introductory session. Pricing was never mentioned. I will say that the quality of my second session was markedly lower than that of the first. As a remedy for pain from a tendon impingement the therapeutic value was pretty low. This despite the fact that I scheduled my second session for an additional half hour. When I paid my bill, I discovered the nasty surprise that I owed $135 rather than the $75 I was anticipating paying. After carefully reading through the payment terms on their website I realized that the fault was my own. $75 was the introductory rate for a 1 1/2 hour massage this introductory rate is only applicable to a customer's initial visit it seems. And once again I was prompted to provide a tip for my therapist. My wife had an even worse experience than I did. Her massage did almost nothing alleviate any of the tension and soreness that she was experiencing beforehand. The massage that she received was more like a standard superficial Swedish massage than the deep tissue massage she requested, and paid for. Just as I had, she had been asked to provide a tip for her therapist. I guess this is standard practice for Massage Envy. All in all, not a great experience for either of us. I feel that the pricing is rather high. Massage Envy is not an exclusive spa, and I feel that their rates are out of line with other massage practitioners that offer service of a similar quality. The actual quality of the massages was overall not great. I got the impression that my therapist was seeking a high tip on my initial visit, and after receiving less than they expected did not offer me the same quality of service on the second visit. I do not have plans to visit Massage Envy again.
I had gotten a gift certificate for Massage Envy for my birthday and got the introduction rate of $75 which was an awesome deal for 1 1/2 hour massage. Upon check in, the front staff was friendly however it took a minute to find my appointment since whomever scheduled it entered my name wrong in the system . I had gotten there 15 min early to do the paperwork needed to check in and went to the bathroom before getting started. I was immediately approached by the therapist in the hallway who didn’t introduce herself at all. Once In the room she asked me my trouble areas and pressure I desired then left . During the start of the massage she never once asked how the pressure was or how I was feeling. Didn’t ask me if I wanted any aromatherapy added she proceeded to massage and honestly felt like it was a rush massage at that! Once the massage was completed I looked at the clock that was on her tablet and it said 12:45 ..my massage was for an 1 1/2 and it started at 11:30 that was not intact a full 1 1/2 ! When the massage was over and I was dressed , she was waiting In the hallway and pointed to me the direction back to the front. Never once asked how I felt nor even walked me to the front. I have had several massages in my life and this by far was one of the worst experiences I have every had. I unfortunately have one more massage left on my gift card and I will use it , but will definitely ask for a different therapist and will not go back once I am finished.
Kim is legit! I almost gave up on massage envy because of staffing and limited availability, but thank goodness for someone’s else cancelation I was introduced to Ken who knows what he is doing!
