Came in at opening 10:30 on Sunday 5/1. None of the chairs were taken off of the tables, and the place was DIRTY! It was clear that the closing and opening duties were not done. The garbages were full in the bathroom, toilet paper on the floor and sink, napkins under tables, and none of the tables were clean. I had to ask for our table to be wiped down because there was dried, sticky soda on our table. I understand we have supply chain issues, but both the Coke and Dr. Pepper were out. In addition, the dividers next to the booths were filthy. The only thing that was pleasant about my visit was our food. If I were the owner I would want to know that my business was not being taken care of.
This was my first time eating here. I ordered online for a pickup. My order included 2 half garden salads which were unpleasing with brown lettuce and the core of the head of lettuce. In other words the part you don't eat. A pickle spear was missing and hardly enough ranch. The half sandwich that was ordered wasn't supposed to have cheese nor tomato and it did. We made this order online for fat pickup because we only get 30 minutes for lunch and put trust in the restaurant that everything shouldn't have to be checked. It'll be awhile before I even consider eating here again.
I was overcharged for a side dish $3.48 for Mac&cheese instead of $1.25. The cashier said she could refund me the amount but it wouldn't be worth it because it would take a few days to hit my account. So, that was disappointing I wish I would have asked for a few brownie. Speaking of brownie, the brookie is delicious, try it. The sandwich while good was lacking thickness. The mec&cheese was absolutely trash, definitely a waste of money. Overall, the staff were very nice and professional and the food was good not the mac and filling, but I don't see myself coming back.
We used to love going to McAlister's. However, before the pandemic the service and quality of food changed. Now we only order take out from there when my kids really insist on it. The last three times we've ordered from McAlister's my order is wrong. For example, last night I ordered a four cheese griller. Once we got home, I discovered my sandwich was not only smaller than my kids' "kids" sized sandwich, it had one piece of cheese and was harder than a rock...like it had been sitting in the restaurant all day. It was not edible, disgusting and I had to throw it away. The service is terrible, the orders are wrong, the food is gross and the restaurant is dirty. We're not going back there any more.
I had the spicy turkey and it was good. They had really nice customer service. Their unsweet tea is amazing
I Placed pick up order on my 30 min lunch break, they email said my food would be ready @2:00 15 mins after I placed my order. I arrived at 2:00 and my half sandwich and soup wasn’t ready until 15 mins later at 2:15 and my sandwich was completely dry with no Mayo which it states it comes with and the smallest squirt directly in the middle of honey mustard that I asked to be added! This was the worst sandwich ever! Sucks that I work in uptown right next to them as I won’t be coming back!
Good enough food. But the potatoes we were served definitely could have been made with a little more care. The potatoes were over cooked. Toppings were minimal. Not like what is advertised online. The service person wasn't to kind either. Just felt like they wanted me be on way already. I would still eat here but I would probably skip the baked potato and hope for brighter customer service.
The only reason this gets two stars is because my broccoli cheddar soup was good… The garden fresh turkey sandwich is absolutely ridiculous… especially since I just paid $14 for a half a sandwich and soup. there’s one tiny slice of avocado on it and there’s way more spinach than I need… When you put some thing on your menu make sure it looks like the picture… I will definitely never be eating here again. Learn how to make sandwiches it’s not that hard.
There were two times in a row that they served us bed spoiled meat:" the paper stake sandwich" was so so smelly, exactly like rotten dead animal. We were sick disgusted for days after that. This happened twice in a raw. We can not believe that the cook and/or manager allow them to serve such poison to costumers. Most disappointing restaurant experience ever. They promised to give us the money back at least and they did not even honor that.
Good sandwiches, salads, and more! A convenient place to eat while shopping at ABQ Uptown! The newly remodeled atmosphere is pleasant and the temperature is now comfortable, which it was not before the remodeling.
