Came for fish fry yet half our table got corned beef. As others have said the corned beef was salty but tasty. We tried both the perch and walleye fish fry and liked the perch better between the two. I still think cod is better, but they didn't offer that. Portions were large. Service friendly but it took a long time to get our food and it seemed for a long time that nobody in the restaurant was getting food. Probably won't be back not because it was bad, but have preferred other places more. thanks Bob!

If you're looking for a good reuben, try Thistle and Shamrock 3430 N. 84th St., because this place is not it. We decided to try it after hearing great things, but it was beyond disappointing. Placed our order over the phone and was told order would be ready at a certain time. Was at the restaurant at that time and waited close to an hour for our food. Meanwhile, people came in, placed orders, and left with their food. No communication from staff. Got home and order was wrong. Ordered a reuben with fries, but received a corned beef and cheese sandwich with cold mashed potatoes instead. Meatloaf was burned. Everything was super salty and just not good. I suggest trying somewhere else. Edited to add that we visited today, 3/18.

The food was great as Usual. The customer service sucks. Stephanie the manager was very rude and nasty her customer service was terrible. Lack of professionalism. She should not be a manager. She messed up my order. I told her I wanted American fries she bought me chips. I didn’t think none of it so I’m enjoying my food. When she Acknowledged I didn’t tip because of her poor customer service. She makes a comment saying you’re not supposed to eat to go orders in the bar. Well you should’ve made that clear before I ordered my food. I sat there and ate my food in front of her, she didn’t say anything. Til after that fact. I think she’s borderline racist. When I first walked in the bar I said hello and all she said was “ what can I get for you” “ what can I get for you Instead of saying how are you doing. I will never go back to this restaurant again.

This has to be one of the best places for corned beef I have ever tried. Delicious. Wife and I went there Friday night for dinner and were told to seat ourselves. We did. Then no one acknowledged is for the next 15+ minutes. Once that delay was past, everything went well. I had the Farmers Dinner with potato pancakes. The corned beef was scrumptious, the potato pancakes were light and fluffy and tasty. Highly recommend. My wife had the cheesy potatoes with corned beef. Only gripe was that the cheese was of the fluorescent orange type you get at taco bell. Not ideal, but tasty. Recommend McBobs if your looking for a divey bar with excellent food.

One of the best corned beefs in town. But you already knew that : the rest of the menu is fantastic too, try it out! Unique, great atmosphere too. What else is there to say? Just go there!Food: 5/5

We went specifically for breakfast at 10 a.m. and we're they don't serve breakfast on Monday's. We were form out of state and had already ordered our breakfast beverages. Ended up ordering off the lunch menu. Very heavy meal for that time of day. But it was good food. Wish we would have known about the breakfast situation as we would have gone to a breakfast restaurant. Will eat there again.

Poor service, rude workers, waited a hour for a burrito only to find out it had been sitting up by the front for who knows how long. My name was never called and he wouldn't tell me how long its been sitting there. Gab the rude as worker Guy behind the bar wouldn't get a manager, told me no come-back tomorrow. Wouldn't give me my receipt and gave me a cold burrito as if it was remade in less then 2 minutes. I got a refund after wasting a hour of my life in that bar. Never waste your time and money in this place. It use to be a nice place to grab a meal, not anymore.

Mcbobs used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Last time I was there, I ordered a burger and some nachos. Ate most of the burger had some beverages. Got the check and it seemed way too short so I told her. Second check was over a hundred dollars. I paid it cause I'm not like that, go home, puke hard as possible and slept for 13 hours. Next day I looked at the leftover burger and it was deathly undercooked. Can't believe this used to be one of my favorite spots.

Food was ok, but service was completely horrible. Had to go to bar to request a server after waiting 20 minutes. She came over and took food and drink order. Went to bar 20 minutes later asking where drinks were. She said she forgot them. Took additional 10 minutes to get drinks. Waited almost 40 more minutes for food. Went up to bar twice asking where food was. Then she added an 18% tip on each receipt since there were 7 of us. Completely horrible. Will never go there again.
