Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center

Too many people. A 1 bedroom apartment should never cost 1300 dollars in the South. Neither should a room for rent cost 900 monthly. I'm really shocked by this. City people have taken away the southern delight of this place. I did meet some of the beautiful southern people that wave at you as your driving by and that say yes ma'am and no ma'am. I'm just wondering how city people move to the southern part because of the price, invest, and jack prices up? You guys should be banned from certain places

I just use the workout room because it is near my job. Great space, comfortable locker rooms, friendly staff. The other people that use the workout room are always friendly too that really matters!

The swimming pool is very clean. Lots of people are swimming here, but because the pool is clearly separated by lanes it would not be a problem. Most of the pool that can be used for free swim are quite deep though. There are 2 lifeguards on stand by near the pool. The toilets are clean, and all of facilities are really clean. The price for the entry is also quite cheap. Great place to swim in Charlotte!

One of the employees was in the parking lot and saw me park. I walked across the street to drop off something to my attorney. When I cam back I seen him at the back of my car reading my tag and was going to try and tow me. He didn’t know that I also had business there at the Aquatic Center. I am also retired from MCP&Rec. I know all the rules and just laughed. He assumed that I was just parking there and leaving. Racism is still strong there. He should have been inside doing business instead of out monitoring vehicles. That’s what Park Watch is for. I am retired from them. Still the same oldGiod Ole Boy system.

Good experience for lap swimming, but pricey as a non member: $10. Lanes were set up so that each swimmer had its own 25m lane. I wasn't familiar with that kind of lay out in an olympic pool but it worked out.

Swimming here is fantastic, but if you want to use the fitness center as it gets close to 9 they spray a bunch of bleach while you're working out to get you to leave faster...

Awesome pool for recreation swimming! Low chlorine pool and I think they use bromide salt instead of chlorine. It is fairly expensive for non residents $15 but they do have a military discount!! Clean lockers and showers and it was a very clean and well maintained pool facility. They have an exercise room and a warm pool as well!

Nice facility, adequate seating for large events. Nice pools for swim meets because of comfort level, seating, nice locker rooms and close to 277. Only downfall is limited parking in front of building but parking is available along the street and in a parking lot behind the Aquatic center across the road.

The meet started on time and was run very efficiently. The equipment was first rate. Look forward to the next meet there.

I love the Aquatic in every way. They keep very clean. I use warm pool & worst thing about is how small they made it. All life guards, reception area employees professional & helpful. Dres dressing rooms very sanitary & clean except when swim teams show up. They are messy, loud & seems don't know how to flush toilets?? In summer the warm pool is so packed no way to swim laps or even try walk in pool. In winter months it is great though.
