Memphis KOA Journey

We checked in here planning to tent camp. I was a little disappointed by the close proximity to the interstate. Didn’t realize it was *that* close. But... facilities were about standard for a KOA and the staff was WONDERFUL. Weather changed last minute and the lady up front called to see if she could give us a refund. They were very accommodating. I highly recommend if you have a RV or are only staying a night! Might be a little noisy if you’re tent camping. KOAs are great for kids... Lots to do to keep them entertained!

Too close to the freeway to call it a JOURNEY KOA. And this was the most expensive KOA we stayed at from Colorado thru Mississippi. Why? I will say the campground itself is a nice looking campground but the price is high. We did enjoy the pulled pork sandwiches at a reasonable price.

Stayed here while visiting Memphis. All the standard KOA amenities, nice store, and soon to be world famous Memphis BBQ delivery right to your campsite. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The campsites are a lil bit too close together however end sites tend to be a bit more private. You’ll have to bring your own fire ring however they offer free pine cone fire starters. One of the more pet friendly KOAs, each pet gets a free goodie bag, and the K9 pet area was one of the best we’ve seen. There is some highway noise but with our A/C on we didn’t hear anything. I would definitely come back.

We stayed here for 4 days with our 43' 5th wheel. This was in the fall of 2016. The campground was a bit hard to enter due to the highway system and construction projects, but once situated, we had a good stay. The camp is well designed with good, level lots, and easy in-out access. We had quiet and restful nights despite the busy interstate traffic, and lots of campers coming and going. Services were good, and we had no problems at all.

One of the best KOAs we've stayed at. We had no reservation but they had a spot! Clean, well maintained, helpful & friendly staff. We will be back! Thank you!👍
