When you see 1 and 5 star reviews, TRUST the one star reviews. The fives are written by the staff. This place is WORTHLESS. The "therapists", clearly need help themselves. The receptionist had green hair, purple lipstick, tattoos and a lip piercing... Real comforting first impression for my kid to see - going for "counseling". My son's "councilor," cancelled our first two appointments in a row. When we finally got in he was fidgeting, bouncing his leg and using profanity and "fist bumped"... (like a gangster) if that's what you call it, my son, upon departure. All the while telling us my son did not have ADD within minutes of meeting us. Was stating: "this is not true", "that is wrong", on and on about his initial intake report, which was spot on accurate. My son has such severe ADHD, that we have been threatened for him to be kicked out of school when he was only in 6th grade, "unless we medicated". Crazy place. Sadly this facility is a waste of time!!!

At least we saved the world. And based on my treatment in CO, now you can see how certain tragic events happen as a result of bullying.

I love MHP! I know there have been lots of changes but it has been for the better!

Based on my own experiences with MHP, I would never recommend their services to anyone. So far all they seem good for is prescribing meds, and less interested in applying actual therapeutic solutions to get to the root of the problem. It seems that my therapist never has any time to see, and the few times that I have seen her, she seems disinterested in what I'm saying, and has even gone to the extent of lotioning herself or leaving the session "to use the bathroom" and wasting 15 min of our time. As far as I know, it's safer to take meds when you are doing it in conjunction with therapy for the best results. Not to do so could leave MHP open to instances of negligence, which surprises me that they are willing to take that risk. If anything I would recommend Boulder Emotional Wellness over MHP any day. The therapists there actually care about your mental health and do not rely on medication in order to shut their clients up, for the sake of getting them out of their hair.
