Story

Welcome to Merge Dance Studio! Merge Dance Studio was founded by Artistic Director, Christa Campbell, in 2012. At Merge Dance Studio we are dedicated to providing professional dance and fitness instruction for ages 2 to adult and for all levels. We strive to provide a fun and encouraging learning environment through quality instruction and a varied class schedule. Whether you have been dancing for years, are just starting out, are looking to get back into it, or are just looking for a fun alternative to your normal workout routine this is the place for you! We offer weekly classes and welcome all ages and skill levels. We currently offer weekly classes in mommy/daddy & me, creative movement, ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern/contemporary, jazz funk/hip-hop, acro, Piloxing®, BARRE Fusion, and Zumba® as well as many other dance services. Conveniently located one block off of Main Street in the heart of the Manayunk area of Philadelphia we are easily accessible by car, train, or by foot. Merge Dance Studio serves the Manayunk, Roxborough, Wissahickon, Ivy Ridge, Andorra, and East Falls areas of Philadelphia, PA as well as surrounding areas. Group Classes:
Register for one of Merge Dance Studio's dance classes today! We offer weekly classes and welcome ages 2 to adult and all skill levels. Weekly classes are offered in mommy/daddy & me, creative movement, ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern/contemporary, jazz funk/hip-hop, acro, Piloxing®, BARRE Fusion, and Zumba®. Please let us know if we do not yet offer a class that you'd be interested in taking. Thank you for your interest!

Private Lessons:

Dance Birthday Parties:
Looking for a twist on the traditional birthday party? Merge Dance Studio offers a variety of dance birthday parties for all ages, from funk/hip hop to ballet to a theme party of your choice, we do it all! Dance birthday parties are 1 1/2 hours long with an hour dedicated to dance instruction, playing dance games and preparing a dance routine that highlights your special birthday boy/girl and a half hour dedicated to food, cake and opening presents (opening presents is not required). Dance Workshops:
Are you looking for a fun activity for your group or organization? Schedule a dance workshop in the style(s) of your choice. Workshops will be catered to your needs and level. Learn new dance moves in a fun and energetic setting. Workshops will include a warm-up, across the floor work and a dance routine (or 2!). Earn a Girl Scout Dance Badge:
This is a one-time class that meets the requirements for the Girl Scout Dance Badge. The program lasts 1 1/2 hours and includes a ballet demonstration, jazz combination, dance pantomime lesson, and a 15-20 minute question and answer session. Girls can wear dancewear or loose fitting clothing, bare feet, socks, or dance shoes (ballet or jazz) and will have the opportunity to participate in a classroom setting. Badge Programs must be scheduled with Merge Dance Studio in advance. Please contact Merge Dance Studio to schedule yours today! Troop leaders are responsible for providing the badges.

Choreography:
Do you need choreography for a special event? We are available to choreograph for talent shows, pageants, weddings, musicals, performances, competitions, and anything else you may need choreography for. We have years of professional choreography experience for everything from professional dance companies, to musicals, to pageants. Flash Mob Preparation:
Flash mobs are a popular way for people to spread a message, promote a business, or even just to have fun. Are you or your company interested in organizing one but don't know where to start? Let Merge Dance Studio do the work for you! You provide the people, we provide the rehearsal space and the choreography. We can also assist you in choosing a song if need be. Merge Dance Company:
Merge Dance Company is a pre-professional performance group that offers additional performance opportunities to our more serious dancers. Merge Dance Company performs at events throughout the community and surrounding areas. Merge Dance Company is open to all Merge Dance Studio dancers ages 7-adult.
