Mesa Buffet

✔poor service ✔cold food ✔basic desserts Went on Valentine's day, expected to have a nice dinner. We sat down and music started playing. Not anything against the music, just the fact that it was so loud, I couldn't even talk to my partner who was across from me without having to yell. And the hostess mini chocolate covered donuts for a dessert option ? I also saw one waitress sit at a table (must have known the family) eating a slice of watermelon while our cups were empty. Overall, I get that the place was still adjusting, but this place needs a lot of improvement, starting with their staff.

Having a Latin inspired buffet restaurant like this in Springfield is fantastic and a great small business! It gives those that aren't familiar with Latin cuisine the ability to try a variety of different options. There wasn't anything I didn't like! For $13.99 on a Tuesday night you can't get this quality, variety, and quantity anywhere else. Service is great! I highly recommend visiting Mesa Buffet!

I went with my wife and kids for the first time on a Sunday, during peak hours. The line wait was 43 mins long. The Baked Chicken was very dry. The Lasagna was good but the cheese was so gummy it was like eating a pizza in little Italy. The Fried Plantains tasted like they were not fresh, but more like the frozen kind. The Yellow Rice and Pigeon Peas was delicious. The Sponge Cake with Strawberry was dry. However the Strawberry Shortcake was Perfect. The staff was welcoming and proved to be very professional in such hi paced environment. Like every new eatery, it takes time to adapt to the reviews and feedback of the community. The rates for kids are reasonable but for the adults there a few dishes that need better cooks for the $14! So I hope that they can perfect the already great vibe, culture, and location.

I keep in mind that every Hispanic plate is cooked differently depending on the person’s cooking style. So with that in mind I really like the meals. The restaurant is very clean. The deserts were awesome! And I enjoyed trying the variety of food that I never tried. I gave it 3 stars because the customer service was good it could’ve been better. Our waitress didn’t attend to us as she should’ve and I had to go to the front desk to ask for refills. Then was told that our waitress was very busy. Anyway, good food, but service can definitely improve.

Very nice place and very well maintained, there food is great. One issue is the food needs to be a little hotter, most of the time it's either semi cold or warm. Otherwise everything else is excellent 😀
