This was our second choice due to the 45 minute wait at our first option. We waited 10 to 15 minutes to be seated which is fine as it was Sunday morning after all. As soon as you walk in you're greated with the aroma of their delicious syrup. We had not one complaint. Our server Angela was a sweetheart and we even ordered extra on purpose to go home with us. The Croissant French Toast was an absolute hit! We now are planning to not only come back for breakfast but also lunch and dinner to try the pulled pork mac n cheese among other things. It's a 25 minute drive from where I live but I am glad to make the trip so far.
After hearing people rave about this place for the last few months we decided to come check it out. We didn't try anything to special on the menu, although they do offer some pretty unique items with decent prices. Teresa was our server and she was very quick and nice with no mistakes on our special requests. I had the protein platter and my wife had the oatmeal with raisins, grapefruit juice and coffees too. Everything was great!!!
Small diner type restaraunt. We were seated right away. The server was very friendly and helpful. I had the fried chicken dinner which was very good. It was a lot of food though, had to take some home. Watch out the calories are really high for this. I liked the seasoning on the chicken and the biscuit was really good. My daughter had the fried chicken and waffles which said was delicious.
It was my first time to Metro Diner. I drive by this corner all the time. And each time I see on their window Chicken & Waffles. What surprised me is the strawberry butter they make fresh and put into my waffles. It was the best!!!! I've never had waffles like this. Can't wait too go back. The ambience reminds me of old time diners with lunch counters. Give this place a try.
OMG....the food here is hands down the BEDT COMFORT style food around! The service was awesome, Christine from Ireland is great! The male manager stopped by, as well as one other female, I believe she was a server. Food came out in a timely fashion. Place was busy at 1230pm on a Tuesday. Chicken pot pie is delicious, as well as the mac n cuz. My company I was with had the biscuits & gravy and said it was super good! The portions are large, so order accordingly!
Second visit. Gotta say this time was a little better than before. I tried the Fried chicken plate with the sweet and spicy sauce and it was delicious. Also had the Shrimp and grits, which were also delicious. This is a great place for breakfast or lunch and I'll definitely be back again!!
This place is totally legit! Though this is a bit of a drive for us Orange County to Las Vegas, we plan on being long distance regulars! Their chicken and waffles is amazing! The waiter told us that they marinade the chicken for 48 hours! It comes out piping hot and crispy. The flavor? I can tell that 48 hours makes a big difference. There are so many choices on the menu, it's going to take us a long time to get through them all! Croissant French toast or pound cake French toast? You gotta be kidding me! Sign me up! I'll take two of each please!
Classic Benedict and Biscuits & Gravy pictured below. My mom enjoyed the Chicken & Waffles with cheesy grits. Absolutely one of the best breakfast experiences I've ever had. Classic comfort food clearly made with passion and love. Staff were all friendly, decently priced as we only spent $46+tip. Compliments to the chef and all in the kitchen because the food is phenomenal. My father is having an anterior cervical fusion this morning and dining here has helped with the stress of it all. Thank you Metro Diner!
AMAZING!! It was our first time here! They were very busy, but always on top of things! Every staff member made us feel welcomed! Our food was incredible! We ordered biscuits and gravy and of course the chicken and waffles Awesome portions! Our waitress Ky was very friendly and had amazing customer service! The management was out on the floor evolved as well! We will definitely be back again!
As a breakfast place its no frills food, no fruit options, unattractive plating, oversized portions, limited healthy options. If the pictures below are what your looking for you will love it. I like breakfast and was excited to see the new arrival. Sadly they are taking a popular american market and doing the minimum. I doubt we will be back. On the positive the venue was clean and staff friendly. Wait time was 12 minutes.
