The store is always clean, easy to navigate and I love the veggie sushi roll. Every time I go the cashiers are bunched in groups not very attentive to the customers. I checked out and there were 3 employees at the registers talking to each other. The cashier never told me my total. I just tapped my card and left. The 3 stars are for cleanliness and sushi.
The carts are old but the store is kept updated. Customer service is open, fresh fruits veggies bakery and meats are all fresh and good looking. I even asked the fish monger if they scale the salmon They don't at metro market 2 blocks south? He said yes. I'll find out when I cook dinner tonight.
High prices, very poor customer service and the stock and layouts are ridiculous. Shelves empty, prices 50+ percent higher than 2 years ago and rising, very very employee training and terrible customer service. I went to the customer service counter, no one was there...but an employ told me that the attendant was on break for 45 minutes, and that when they returned, they'd have to relieve cashiers and other employees...all with very little training. Amazing how this company can remain solvent with zero ethics as far as employee training and benefits, and customer support.
Gilbert, who ran the self checkout this morning, was SO SWEET and HELPFUL. I wanted a flower arrangement to give to my Mom today, but there was no florist available. He proceeded to ask me what it was I wanted, and grabbed a brown paper holder for my flowers and told me that Moms are important I MISS THIS KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. He deserves a raise!!! Thanks Gilbert!!!
Hate this place. Always a dread, sometimes are sold out for weeks of essential items like affordable tortillas, rice, etc. As others have mentioned, produce isn't always great. Strawberries usually poor quality. Almost impossible to pay with cash. THE WORKERS ARE SO RUDE. I will be SO nice to them and they will completely ignore me. One gave me a massive attitude when I was looking for my wallet to pay. There was a line, yes, but that's not really my fault. No Apple Pay, by the way. You're lucky if you get asked if you want paper or plastic in the regular checkout, which is the only option to pay with cash a weird accessibility issue to many, I assume by experience. One woman working as a bagger was watching groceries pass down the belt as she answered a very loud FaceTime call. What is going on here. Don't bother thinking you'll find a clean cart or even a basket, the workers never care to put them back. Bathroom dirty. Something wrong about the freezer section where the vegan frozen foods are. Borderline no security. People will ask you for things. I wear headphones and keep my head down when I need to shop. This place is just terrible. I really dislike this place, but I have to buy groceries.
Store products are great. Check out is a nightmare: no clerks at checkout, long lines at self checkouts. Twice now have left carts with groceries due to extreme frustration, will be looking for new store!
Great place for daily groceries! They have everything I need, even imported Spanish cheese. The new carts are awesome: super quiet and light and all the wheels work!
While it’s your typical Metro Market as far as selection, this store often has empty spots on the shelves, and as other have mentioned the employees are more interested in socializing with each other than helping customers. Long lines at registers even at quieter times of day. Unfortunately it’s the closest place to me.
Awful service. I came to the store to get a couple of items from bakery. There was no one there in that department, so I asked other employees for help. First person told me that no one is there and kept walking. Second person told me to ask for help at service desk, so that’s where I went. There were 2 girls there. I asked for help, and they told me that bakery closes at 2 really, so no one can get anything from bakery after 2 pm??? but she said that she will be right over to assist. 10 minutes later no sign of anyone. I went back to the service desk, and no one was there. Finally I saw her behind cashier line, and when she saw me, she turned away and left.
Laziest customer service of any stores I’ve ever been to and I’ve lived in 4 different states…. You can make eye contact with 10 different employees and they act oblivious as if it’s just not their job or problem. I live a block from here and I hate coming here if I need any help
