Obie Award winning Metropolitan Playhouse is devoted to rediscovering historically significant American plays and new plays on American themes.
Metropolitan presents four mainstage shows and two festivals of new works each season: the East Side Stories festival of new plays about the life and lore of the East Village and the Living Literature Festival of new works by other companies inspired by American literary figures.
