Miami Valley Shooting Grounds

Great indoor shooting range, and great owner and manager when making a purchase. They worked with Glock to get me setup nicely instead of having to order a gun with night sights. Love this shop, just wish I lived closer! Also this is one of the few indoor range I have seen that doesn't have a ammo case restriction, when using own weapon.

Outdoor range still closed. One of the Google questions for this place asked if it was a good place to bring young kids. It is an EXCELLENT PLACE to bring young kids. An excellent place to teach young (and old) minds proper handling and firearms safety. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and can help in many ways.

Great indoor shooting range with a wide variety of firearms and indoor ammunition to choose from. Ammunition is fairly priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's a shame that the outdoor range is closed due to legal issues.

I have been going to Miami Valley Shooting grounds for years. Every staff member past and present have been more than helpful. The staff is very knowledgeable and if they do not know the correct answer they will not hesitate to do their best to help. As far as prices you cannot beat the range fee. It is 15 dollars for all day. You can go as soon as they open at 10:00 by your range fee and shoot all day long. You can even leave and go get lunch as long as you leave your printed name tag. Another great thing about the range is there rental guns. They have many different rental guns to choose from and it is a $10 rental fee. With the $10 rental fee you can switch out the rental as many times as you would like. The only stipulation is you have to buy their range ammo, which I understand since you are using their equipment. The price of ammo is very reasonable and targets are very reasonably priced as well. Now on to the range itself. You will find a total of 4 different ranges. First indoor pistol range, now you can shoot rifle and Magnum The indoor range has a retrievable Target system that goes out to 50 ft, plenty of distance for handguns. Next you go to outdoor pistol and shotgun range. The outdoor pistol is at 33 feet and I believe the shotgun is at 35 ft both sharing the same cover. Even with pistol and shotgun sharing the same range there are plenty of available spots to shoot outside. Then you have the 25 and 50 yard rifle range. These are great for trying to zero a rifle before taking it over to the 50 and 90 yard range which is the next one. They also have the south side of the range which is where they do Tuesday night steel shoots. Another great thing about the range is they offer a wide variety of classes from beginner classes to advanced classes. They do hold concealed carry classes every Saturday and Sunday and they are only $50 per student. Overall Miami Valley Shooting grounds is in my opinion the best range in the Dayton area hands down.

What a fun place to spend some time and a little money with the whole family. Gun rentals have a great selection of handguns at a great price, $10 rental fee, $20 range fee, and you can swap all day, just buy their ammo. I'm sure my boys and I will be back.
