Michael's hair studio

This man is genius. The moment I sat down he already knew what my hair is like, when my last haircut was and what he suggest doing. The hair whisperer. He knew what I was looking for even before telling him, but still if u want another haircut/style he will comply! He’s just so knowledgeable. He has a great and easy going personality that he’s not too intimating to be approach. Definitely a must go if you need a haircut. I would call and get an appointment as we never has any walk-ins available. He’s just so popular. But not to a point he’s booked up everyday. He’s an important man in town. I constantly travel for work, and I’m willing to travel here to get a haircut again.

Best salon in town. Michael Belcher is the best stylist for cuts, color and highlights. Also has a wonderful line of signature products.

I travel for a living and visit a lot of salons across the US. Michael's Hair Studio is going on my list of top 10 salons to visit. I came in with a pretty bland, dressed-down cut that was not very flattering. My sister's wedding is next week and although the attention will be on her (as it should be!), I wanted to look my best as well! Michael's Hair Studio is a small barber shop with a single chair...a 100-ish year old barber's chair he bought in Detroit. Very cool! The shop may be small but it's clean and comfortable, with lots of cool decor. Michael is both fast and efficient. I left the cut up to him, and he softened my look and also gave me something that's easy to work with (I'm not one to spend hours on my looks). It's been a week since I got the cut and I'm able to easily style my hair myself. I'm satisfied with the whole experience and would recommend Michael's Hair Studio to anyone in Charleston!

Michael is in a league of his own. Best barber in town by far and extremely professional. Slightly more expensive than a place like Mastercuts or similar salons but totally worth it if you take your appearance seriously.
