Went in around 1030 last night and had some of the friendliest bartenders and patrons that I’ve experienced in a bar. I was with a buddy and his fiancé and after chatting with one of the locals for a little while, he ended up buying us around. I was really impressed with the back courtyard which was huge! It would be a great spot for a fantasy draft or great stop on a cool afternoon. I will definitely be back!
My favorite place for a crawfish boil, although a little pricy compared to other places or just buying crawfish at a supermarket. The boils come with all the fix-ins and has awesome flavors. I've also ordered the boiled shrimp which was delicious. The reasons I love this place include the outdoor patio seating with warmers, sports TV's all over, and a great selection of draft beers. They make seasonal drinks like putting green food color in beers on St. Patrick's Day. A word of warning about the parking...beware parking next to the baseball field self-explanatory. This is a great place to hangout though a little smaller than bayou beer/wine garden.
Good food. Cool place.
Came here as part of a bus tour. The bartender seemed annoyed and was in no rush to help us out. Definitely. Spot for regulars it seems, all I wanted was a Red Bull - but they don’t take credit cards for charges under ten bucks. Ok fine, they had a nice big water jug so I could at least quench my thirst - that was empty. Kinda lame y’all. The bar itself is nice and looked like a big selection or beers Edit: Revised rating based on classy response from owner. The bus tour was blast! Thank you.
A truly local NOLA experience. Good crowd. The crawfish vendor on Friday nights is spicy and boiled nice and crunchy. After downing numerous lbs of crustaceans, the food served by the Yacht club hit the spot. Nice that there were vegetarian options. The bartenders knew how to pour mixed drinks and there was a great draft selection!
The food was delicious, they adapted for me to eat gluten free, plus put on thr NBA playoff game outside when we asked. Bonus, my sweet dog loves it there, too.
We always hit up MCYC in Fridays in crawfish season roughly March-July. Get there around 4 and you'll be first in line for bugs. They do them right: super spicy, perfect texture, and priced fairly.
I always enjoy the Yacht Club, but go there less often since moving to Slidell. Ashley is a great bartender, professional and on top of things. I don't know if Beth is still there, but another top notch bartender. No offense to anyone not mentioned, but I no longer go enough to know the bartenders like I used to. Great neighborhood bar, friendly people on both sides of the bar, definitely recommend.
My favorite Bloody Mary's in Midcity! Great patio in the back too. Kitchen puts out some good food also.
Went to watch Ohio State football and had seen this was a OSU friendly place. Many of the other customers were OSU fans while there. Fun atmosphere with large TV's to watch. Staff was very friendly and had great prices for drinks!
