The Bulldog Mid City

If you ever need a beer, a really good cold beer, come to @bulldog_midcity, you will be pleased. I had the Blackened Voodoo one, a smooth and yummy black beer. Thanks to my French @meetup I found this really cool, great atmosphere and fun place. The Bulldog is a Lakeview gem. Its right across the street from the cemetaries and next to Mid City. They have like 40 beers on tap, good wifi, and lots of tables. They also have shuffleboard. The patio is huge as well. It's not covered but they do have heaters and fans out there. There's one couch if you want to cuddle, but otherwise the tables inside are a mix of high tops and low tops. Beers are reasonably priced, and the music is usually solid but not too loud to have a conversation.

We had a fabulous night at the Bulldog!! We had a private party on the patio. The vibe was lovely from the get-go, with Christina, the event coordinator being so gracious and helpful. The patio was clean and well set up. Our food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The folks who work there were all helpful and polite. And last but definitely not least, our very own private bartender, Xander, was THE!!! BEST!!! He was slinging the drinks like nobody's business! Laughing and smiling with us all. I hope he had as good a time as we did. THANKS A MILLION!!!

Amazing service! Super dog friendly! The food was super tasty. There were no dead people here and the beer was super cold not warm like what another review stated. Come here for some super good bar food and nummy nummy drinks. 10/10 Gonna come here again.

Beer choice great. Food very bad. Frozen fried mushrooms still frozen and fish over cooked.

I went for a work happy hour and all of the patrons who were Black were treated differently from the white patrons. My company did an open bar with food and they only told the black employees me and my coworkers that food was not included yet proceeded to give the white coworkers everything under the sun. This establishment was not welcoming to those with Black skin. If I could give 0/5 I would. If you are one with a darker hue, I recommend you find a different establishment to unwind as you won’t be welcomed here. Edit as I’m not able to reply, I spoke with the hostmy direct manager and he let me know that the tab covered wine, beer and food. The bartender told us that we were not able to put food on the tab which was false. This was not my first happy hour with the company, I’m well aware of the policy. Also the fact you are able to pinpoint who I am let’s me know you’re aware of what went on.

Yum, so delicious, so fun. Got the Cuban wrap and it was delicious. The draft choices are insane, so many to choose from. Lots of seating and fun decor of dogs and bars. Don't shop, adopt! I'd definitely go there again.

Pub style atmosphere with sports on the TV's. Could be a Cheers type but the bathroom is dreadful. We ate out on the back patio and you have to go into the bar and order from a small hole in the wall. They give you a vibration gizmo to have to know when to go back in to pick up your phone. So basically self-serve. My Nachos were drowning in Jalapeno juice and were dry and cracked. And whole-hella drenched in Salt. Could almost hear my blood pressure rising. The other people's food was fine but gave them problems later if you know what I mean. I wouldn't go back here except maybe for some pool and a beer. Food is not their main draw I suppose. It wasn't busy for a Saturday. We did park there in front of the Cable car turnaround which is right in front of the restaurant and got an Uber to Bourbon Street. A "Meh" level experience and nothing to write home about and barely much to write about on Google. Sorry people this place is a bust on the Cindy's curses scale.

Great pub with friendly staff. We wanted to sit outside since we had our dog but they insisted on us sitting inside. She was small and feisty at first but warmed up to the staff and they loved to come see her. Would recommend this place for a good beer and pub food. LOTS of beer on tap so you’ll find something you’ll like. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Great beer selection, with plenty of choices on tap. Serves a decent veggie burger, which is a rareity. If you're on the Haunted Tours, you'll visit the place during the break session.
