Stopped by here while in New Orleans it it was a pretty big place with a few shops, places to eat, and it also has restrooms. For people saying it is a tourist trap it was very slow when we went.. Not a bad thing though it allowed us to see more although some of the shops were also closed at the time. Would forsure check it out again if everything was open
The shops at Jax Brewery are hard to find, but they are right in front of you when you cross the city square in front of the cathedral. They have good ice cream, good stores, and public restrooms on the second floor. The restrooms are hard to reach though, you have to ask directions and follow all the posted signs. They aren't where you'd expect them at a normal mall. The place I expected to find them had a sign that said "No Restrooms" but didn't give directions to where they were located. Peculiar. You can go out and sit on the balcony overlooking the river. It's a magical place and it's free seating. Just make sure to follow the signage and use the correct door. I sat on the steps and sketched one evening. There was a wedding party catered there at the brewery, and all I could think is that I would love to have a party like that at the brewery some day. The wedding party took pictures at the top of the huge stairway and howled at the moon, then went inside for karaoke. It sounded like a blast! Try a Jax beer. I wasn't able to get in, but I would bet it's worth trying. As an aside, there's also a beautiful public restroom close to the mall but outside, it's off the main square in front of the cathedral. Just ask around. It's nice!
We ate at Landry's. They are very under staffed but the hostess was sweet and ended up taking our order. The menu on google did not match the menu we were handed. The manager came over and assured us of the options because of some food restrictions and then the bartender served us. The restaurant's main dining room is on the second floor but the bar area is located on street level.
It was a bit drab. Majority of the stores on the second floor were out of business and the restrooms had seen better days.
Outside shops are great. Wonderful ice cream and chocolate shop, not to mention the beignets. Inside the mall is deserted, and we were hoping for just a quick drink stop. There is still a sandwich board advertizing a "food court", but it's gone! Skip the inside, shop outside!
I would've liked to spend more time walking through here. The couple of stores we were in were fun. Plan to make time to look through all of it. There are some nice treasures there.
Clean grounds and quality shops. Also cleaner public restrooms than others around.
Perfect for a small shopping day in the city great price on the parking lot always plenty of space with a little bit of everything inside for the locals and visitors food court small simple but a nice variety with a lot of other shopping centers also within walking distance great spot for a family day out window shopping or stoping at earth bound for some new rocks there’s a shop for everyone
It's pleasant place to shop. There are public restrooms . The French Quarter should have more of them. Walking around the French Quarter, it didn't smell like urine. That's a plus.
Several different stores and restaurants all in one spot. Easy and convenient.
