This was one of the highlights of our trip. Across the street from our hotel and just an amazing find for someone who wants a nice calm atmosphere with very welcoming staff. Manager sat down with us and talked about the city and gave recommendations. We were just stopping in for a drink and some appetizers and the cheese board was perfect! Amazing selections served with fresh fruit and crackers. Overall, exactly what we were hoping for.
Had a wonderful dinner here a couple of nights ago. Sat at the bar and even though they were short staffed that night, everyone was working extra hard to keep service running smoothly. I had one of the nightly specials, redfish almandine, and it was fantastic. I arrived during happy hour and cosmopolitans were on the happy hour menu. It was very well made. I highly recommend Orleans Grapevine.
Wonderful spot in the French quarter that does NOT take reservations! They have small plates and awesome wines and the best quart yard as a sanctuary for a quiet place for a meal. The wine selection is very diverse and it's a quaint atmosphere that has a locals only vibe. The mushrooms with shrimp is probably the best appetizer I've had in years! It's with the jaunt to visit and relax. The bourbon pecan pie is a must, but only if the do not have their bread pudding! This place was a recommendation by a local bartender from the Hermes. So good we went back and thanked him for the tip.
Perfect place to dine in New Orleans! What a wonderful dinner and ambiance! We sat at the bar, and the bartender was so friendly and helped us celebrate my daughter's 29th birthday. We split a Caesar salad-we loved the parmesan cheese crisps and they nicely split the salad onto 2 plates for us. We also shared a Shrimp appetizer, the shrimp was perfectly cooked and flavorful, For dinner, we split the Drum fish and crab meat entree. The fresh fish was perfectly cooked and delicious. Overall, we found our dinner to be different than the heavy fried food so common in New Orleans. It reminded me of Napa, California style bistro food, with a New Orleans spin with fresh seafood and cajun spices. In the middle of all the amazing food in New Orleans, this restaurant is worth a stop, with attentive service and reasonable prices.
We stopped in for a glass of wine and a snack after lunch and before dinner last Saturday after thanksgiving. Bartender was great! Made plenty of suggestions and was very friendly and helpful. Managers were attentive and everyone was helping each other. Gumbo was terrific too!
This was my second best meal I've ever had in New Orleans and this is my fifth trip there. To start, I asked for anchovies with the Caesar salad. They provided a double dose. If a restaurant doesn't have anchovies it means the dressing isn't made in house. The salad was perfectly dressed - not under nor over dressed. We had two appetizers, the beef medallions and the scallops. They were both excellent. Lastly, the service was perfect. It wasn't smothering nor inattentive.
Great atmosphere inside along with the the beautiful outside courtyard. they have a nice wine list and from the looks of the menu they probably have good food. I only had drinks with the cheese board and charcuterie which were excellent. My review takes all things into consideration and the only reason I can not give 5 stars is because of the service. First of all our server did an excellent job trying to keep up with a packed crowd. She alone took care of 6 tables in the courtyard and probably some inside. She was very friendly and doing her best to keep up but this place was badly understaffed. I won't blame the restaurant because I'm sure they have the same problems as many other places getting help post covid. Nonetheless it is something that needs to be addressed, if not for that I would have loved to try the entrees.
A wonderful break from the revelry of the neighborhood. Elegant and old timely with food menu that is focused on delivering selective decadent choices.
The food was not as great as I remembered..took a long time to get drinks and food, food was cool, not hot. Addendum....we did let the staff know of our concerns, and they did make it right by us. It was New years Eve, and I do understand now that they had staffing issues. More than likely we will go back and give them another try when next in town.
Wonderful discovery. Escaping from busy and noisy Bourbon street we found this restaurant. If you don’t think you are in New Orleans you mind will take to a street in Le Marais or Latin Quartier in Paris. The food was delicious, great cocktails and they have a large wine list too. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. We will back for sure.
