I went to this Midas for an oil and filter change on my two year old car that has been well-maintained and honestly not driven a lot on the daily, prior to seeing any of these reviews. And I wish I had, because the comments from people going in for something basic and then being told they need lots of expensive work ring really true…I honestly don’t understand how my 2020 vehicle needed this much work and why it cost almost $500 in labor on the brakes? I feel taken advantage of and definitely won’t go back there ever.
Fairly rude personnel to begin with. Also was told it would take several hours to diagnose needing brake pads. Told me they don't carry my parts even though this was a scheduled specific event. I scheduled an appt for new pads. Was early to my appt, the only one in store, 1 vehicle in a and vehicle in a 4 bay store, it wasn't started even close to appt time.Service: Auto brake replacement
Tristan/Triston...my apologies for spelling your name incorrect. Any hoot....He was AMAZING!! The manager was pretty awesome too!! I dropped my car off for new tires during my lunch break. Picked it up after work. I had a bit of a wait but, Triston/Tristan and the manager told me why there was a wait. They kept me informed throughout my wait. Finally, my car was ready. I paid, thanked them all, then left quickly. I left my lunch bag there. Triston/Tristan was kind enough to call me to let me know. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness.
As an emergency stop in on a 20 hr trip, they took me in right away and rushed the parts. Replaced caliper, pads and rotors and got me back on the road right away. Friendly and great service, absolutely recommended.Service: Auto brake replacement
The guy at the front desk was rude for no apparent reason. Scheduled an appointment online and went there expecting to deal with what needed to be done, right off the bat the breif conversation that was exchanged, it was already bad gave an attitude when I literally repeated my name and they literally admitted they forgot about my appointment in the system lol. Highly recommend going to another place at least one with basic customer service.Service: Oil change
I went in to try to get a diagnostics. When I first walked in I already knew I was dealing with...a hoodrat/unprofessional angry person because I walked in to a the front desk guy staring at me like I did something wrong by coming in instead of the "hello how can we help you today" customer service. I showed him the paper that I received from the diagnostics performed by auto zone and informed him that I know this may not be completely accurate, but could be the potential problem. Then he cuts me off and roles his neck, pokes his lips out with a dry ignorant look on his face and says, "we got a better system that is worth over 1500 that can give you an accurate diagnosis. " I asked, so you guys do a thorough inspection of the car meaning, along with the machine do you all actually take a look to see if the machine is accurate? He either did not understand or was not receptive because his attitude went all the way up and instead of letting me explain what I meant, he kept rolling his neck and talked over me. I grabbed my paper, and told him that I hope his day gets better. He then said, whatever you're the professional you know better than me...I was like, wow and just left. I didn't know that me trying to get an exact answer to understand how things work before I pay for it would cause a big problem, but I already knew this guy had a problem long before I came in. Do not pour your personal problems on customers. Clearly it pulls away from your ability to comprehend!!!!
Do not let appearances fool you, this is a top notch shop. My entire experience with this shop was more than I expected, regardless of what others may have said. The staff was courteous, professional and accurate with their diagnosis and repairs. My only complaint: No Veteran's Discount can't hold that against the staff though.Services: Exhaust
Made an appointment for an oil change by phone, but when I arrived they didn’t have any record of my appointment and couldn’t fit me in since it was close to the end of the day.
My 2016 Mazda 6 had some trouble starting for a week or two and then it finally didn't start one day. I took the car here because it was the closest shop near me that I thought I would make it to. I went in and told the person at the front desk that I believed my battery had gone bad as the car was able to be jumped and ran fine, but would not start if not used. They took the car back and after less than 30 mins they came back to me and said that the battery was the least of my issues and that the alternator had to be replaced along with my serpentine belt that was apparently "dry rotted" and the belt tensioner. These repairs were going to cost me around $1600. When I explained to the man at the front desk that the car still had the original battery that was now almost six years old he said that it didn't matter what battery I had in it, it would not keep a charge because of the alternator. Now while I am not a mechanic or have that much expertise in car repairs a simple google search told me that everything that I was experiencing with the car was not the alternators fault. When I told the man at the front desk that I would have to come back because I was not expecting to pay $1600 he became very irritated by this and told me that there was no point of leaving and that these repairs had to get done immediatley. Even his mechanic told me that the alternator was running at low power and that it was running at 12.79 volts Which I think they measured with the car off which is the correct voltage for the car being off and the car being on would read 14.5 volts on. After I told the man at the front desk that I was not going to pay the ridiculous price that they were asking for I told him that I would still want the new battery to see if that would work. After I told him that he became even more upset and refused to sell me the new battery. I eventually took my car to a more trusted repair shop in which they said that the battery was the culprit and that they don't know why this Midas told me that my alternator was bad. Avoid this place at all costs. They tried pressuring me into paying almost $1600 for a repair that wasn't needed and when I asked for them to change the battery they flat out refused to do it. Don't waste your time here they are scammers and will try to pressure you into paying for things that don't need to be fixed. 0/5
Went there hoping to replace exhaust system on VW Beetle. They wanted $2450 to do it! I ordered the system for $209 online and my regular honest mechanic installed it for $150. That should tell you all you need to know about this Midas Muffler shop. Don't go there!
