I have been employed with this agency for four years. It is ethically sound, and on the cutting-edge of addiction treatment. Counselors are highly competent and trained, and provide a rich therapeutic environment for people to recover from addiction. I consider it the best treatment in the greater St. Louis area, which is why I stay, and devote my life to helping others in this great environment. While working on my doctorate degree, this organization supported me and encouraged me. Addiction is complex, and it takes a team effort to ensure that every client has a maximized potential and a new life.

Have almost 4 years soberity cuz of this place. The groups and staff were the best a lot better than na or aa. They really give u gr8 tools on getting and staying sober. This place saved my life most definitely I never thought I could be happy or deserve to be happy and now I'm sober healthier and have a beautiful amazing 9 month old son. I would have never been healthy enough or sober to have such a beautiful child without this place only thing that sucks is the price and with my insurance I didn't get of my money back. 5000 dollars to get sober very pricy but was worth it when it comes to my life. I definitely feel stronger physically and emotionally bcuz of Midwest institute. I would love to come back and do outreach work and maybe even be a guess speaker and share my story. Thank u Midwest for giving me a second chance at life and happiness. When I see negative reviews I don't believe it. It's probably from people who weren't serious about getting sober. No midwest does not tolerate that u show up high or drunk for the meetings u can trigger others and hurt there soberity so u can be kicked our for that. This place is only for ones who really want to get sober and up to doing the work to get there. I miss this place I definitely wish I could just go to a group anytime just to say hi and help others. I really felt a connection with my group we definitely helped each other and lifted each other up on bad days. They even gave me a goodbye party and brought me cheesecake and snacks. I miss the group and hope everyone is happy and staying sober. I'm really glad I found MIA. And to the people saying Scott is rude that's far from the truth he made my mom and I feel very welcome there as well as the staff. If your an addict and want your life back call MIA

MIA is the worst place I have ever been employed. I absolutely loved my fellow coworkers as well as the clients, but Scott Mckinney is a disrespectful and rude owner. He is absolutely unbearable to work for/with. I would not recommend working here or putting the care of your loved ones in his hands.

This is absolutely one of the worst experiences of my life. Practically destroyed our family and the our relationship with our son. The counselors were negative in their words and actions. I was told I was a horrible mom and my son would end up dead in my care. Believe me if there was a handbook on how to help my addicted son I would have done everything in it 5 years ago. My son ended up in the worst state of his addiction after dropping out. His next rehab facilities is where he became sober and has been for 10 1/2 months. Our family is healing. Kindness and compassion go a long way. You are not going to receive that here.

My good friend sought help at MIA and she was very pleased with the service she was provided. They have wonderful doctors and therapists who are understanding and dedicated to your recovery. The clinic overall makes you very comfortable, looked after, and welcomed.
