Mile High Management provides an excellent standard of service. We manage individual rentals within subdivisions of which MHCM is the HOA management company. Mile High has done a good job following the directives of our HOA Board when it comes to contract reviews and bylaw compliance. I've enjoyed working with their leadership team and found that they have been responsive to my requests and questions about community issues that have come up from time to time.
This property manager is not that good. In my neighborhood, the weeds on some properties are too high and all they do is send letters. Every summer there are properties with high grass or weeds in the alleys that are allowed to be left without penalties levied. No one has been fined in over ten years there is not a single dollar collected showing on the annual report and all they really do is schedule snow removal, and for this we must pay them almost $300 per year??? I have personally received three notices for neighbors properties violations as well as notices that I had violations that never existed like stating my grass is not green enough and excessive weeds when that was not the case!!! How good is a company if they can't even send violation notices to the correct address????? And to top that off, they wouldn't even call me to apologize for their mistake.
I have been in several HOAs, and this outfit is one of the best management teams I have experienced. They are a delight to deal with and watch our finances as well. Happy owner of condo, Mike L.
Mile High Management is the best thing that has happened to our Homeowners Association. Their professionalism is superior and they are easy to work with. Their accounting is unmatched and really help us understand our financial status. I have also learned quite a lot regarding how HOA's are supposed to work including the Oregon State Statute's that we have to abide by. Also, our board and owners meetings are run so much better now, including the meeting minutes since we have been with them. This includes showing who is supposed to follow-up on items discussed in the meetings. I know that I can speak for the entire board that we look forward to working with them for a long time.
My experience with Mile High Community Management as a Board member of the Westerly II HOA has been a positive one. When vetting Mile High for our HOA the other organizations the Board questioned had similar responses, and we were not disappointed once we hired them. The staff is friendly, responsive, knowledgable, and professional. Mile High provides sound legal, administrative, and financial guidance and direction when asked regarding all simple and more complex HOA matters. I would highly recommend Mile High Community Management for those seeking help to manage their HOA.
When I moved to Bend 4 years ago the HOA in my neighborhood, Arrowood Summit 1, had been using Mile High Community Management as our Manager for a number of years. I was soon elected onto our HOA Board, and have been serving as it's President for the last 3 years. During that time I've regularly interacted with Jim Bemis and his excellent crew at Mile High. They have consistently done a great job in all we ask of them: they are very knowledgeable about HOA laws and management; their advice is always very practical and helpful; they have been very dependable to get each job done well and in a timely manner; they are always pleasant and professional in their approach. Our HOA has hired Mile High Management for the last two years and they exceed our expectations. They handle our accounting, tax forms, legal documents, HOA dues, collections, CCRs, Bylaws, conduct Board Meeting, take minutes, clubhouse reservations, RV lot reservations, contractors as requested, maintenance issues, snowplowing, and neighborhood non-compliance issues with pictures, ALL for a reasonable monthly fee. I am a volunteer board member and I wouldn't be on the Board if they didn't help us. They are irreplaceable!! It saddens me to see a review for Mile High where a disgruntled homeowner decides to take matters into their own hands and spread hate and division. If you are considering a management company, please check out Mile High. You won't be disappointed!
HOA’s and POA’s considering using a management service or changing service companies should consider the services offered by Mile High Community Management MHCM. Oregon Water Wonderland II OWW II POA with just over 1,000 lots, began using a management service 30 years ago and used three prior companies but each never seemed to provide all the services that a HOA/POA needed to stay up to date with the demands presented by Oregon law, state and county agencies, and the needs to maintain viability for the community OWW II directors represent. With a change in board direction, OWW II hired Mile High Community Management to service our community. What MHCM brought to us was a strong working relationship with the board and excellent service. Mile High has a professional and courteous staff that is well qualified led by Jim Bemis, the owner. The board has also worked closely with other members of the Mile High team like Chad Carpenter, Audra Bemis, and Rachel Nething who are also highly talented individuals. All of our phone calls and questions are answered and they will work to get you an answer if you have a perplexing problem that can not be answered at the moment. They are able to give boards guidance on specific questions concerning decision making and able to obtain solutions to problems. An example two years ago was when a snowplow service decided to quit plowing some subdivisions like ours at the last minute. Mile High was able to put us on track to get snowplowing done in a short period of time before the first snowfall. Mile High has also mentored and assisted the board to easily update and professionalize the HOA/POA organization and its association meetings. Mile High Community Management provides many services. They attend meetings and quickly provide the minutes of the meeting. They can provide Zoom meetings for greater member attendance and convenience. They have a library of OWW II records with easy website access for members to review minutes of past meetings, accounting sheets, frequently asked questions FAQ and more through a portal digital system. They provide bookkeeping and accounting services. They also give us updates and any changes in Oregon law concerning HOA/POA organizations along with recommendations. And, they have many professional contacts with engineering firms, lawyers, and experts in various fields like reserve studies, vendors, and with county commissioners. Mile High also conducts our elections. OWW II’s Board of Directors made a great decision in hiring Mile High Community Management to service our association as they are truly a great value. They have guided us in our efforts to up grade and professionalize the legal aspects of our association and the relationship of the board to its constituents.
