The owner was knowledgeable, helpful, and so patient. And of course Mr. Charlie was very welcoming. We bought a few prints here years ago, and are kicking ourselves for not returning sooner. We just bought a large 1920s poster and many small prints. They had exactly the selection we were looking for, and are happy to support local business.
Cute little shop-ran by an adorable dog and his owner. Prices are very fair. Picked up a nice art glass oil lamp and a print hand signed by local Baltimore artist, Herman Maril. Owner was polite, friendly, and was ready to bargain! The store has a wonderful collection of vintage prints and frames. One could spend hours inside going through the various prints. Owner is very knowledgeable and loves to share his knowledge-was a fun buying experience!
I love Millbrook Antiques! Something for everyone. Very well organized and maintained. Quite the variety of antiques. I was especially impressed with the collection from prints and SIZE, some are huge available. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Great conversation. I love that it is in Hampden and in what used to be a residential row home some 70+ years ago. I'll most certainly be back.
I bought two prints from Millbrook - one a WWI War Bonds poster and the other an Art Deco piece. Both are wonderful additions to my home and helped add the final touches to a recent renovation. Millbrook has a unique and impressive collection of prints and posters with new stock regularly added. Prices are very reasonable.
I stopped by Millbrook Antiques in search of a unique Christmas gift for a friend. Being a huge history nerd myself, I was thrilled to see their vast collection of old prints. The two gentlemen working at the time were extremely helpful in describing the pieces and putting them into historical context. It was my first time visiting the store, but surely will not be my last. Highly recommend.
Millbrook Antiques helped me find new homes for a small family collection of paintings, prints, china and bric-a-brac that I could not move from Baltimore to Florida. Ned Gans, one of the partners, was very knowledgeable about original artwork and local markets, painstaking in his research, and strategic in his thinking. He worked very hard to help me get the best possible prices for my items. I trusted his judgment and expertise and was very happy with the result. He made my big move much easier.
This is my favorite spot for antiques in Baltimore. Their collection of unique and one of a kind items varies from ancient Asian porcelain ware, to sterling silver, to Tiffany lamps, to vintage knick-knacks, and jewelry. They also have a fascinating collection of old posters, maps, and art. They do framing right on the premises as well. This store is simply charming and is located on the avenue in Hampden. The owner is very welcoming and friendly and has a great knowledge of all the pieces in his store.
Great personal attention from a very knowledgeable staff. A very good collection of original non-repro period prints and maps, particularly focused on the history of Baltimore and Maryland. A great place to shop for unique gifts at reasonable prices including interesting collections of Asian Pacific place setting/tableware and other personal items.
Very knowledgeable and friendly owners, incredible selection of prints/art, antiques and collectibles. It's definitely worth the trip to visit this amazing shop!!
Lots of vintage prints, very cool.
