I had very poor luck here. Dropped off a boat three weeks ago, still not done (Was quoted less then a week). My quote started at $250 then went to $565. No big deal, but they kept pushing back the time on when they were going to finish it. When I finally got a hold of them (they kept saying they would call me back, and never did) they told me just to pick up the boat as-is, without it being fixed. Skip ( The Tech) was very friendly and helpful, but the female in the office would talk over me on the phone and just had a hurtful attitude. I understand that I wasn't in there spending $5,000 bucks, but even on small deals, it was eye opening to see how they treated a customer.

I have never been so disappointed in the lack of professionalism and the lack of talent from a mechanic. My grandfather took his pontoon boat to Milltown to be looked at and fixed after it stopped working over 2 weeks ago. He never received any calls about the progress or how it was going so my Grandfather decided to go down and see for himself. The mechanic was not even there! Apparently, he is suppose to be there at 8 am according to the person working but on this given day he didn't show up until after 12:00 pm. Grandpa continued to visit to see if progress had been made. To his dismay, progress was never made. How could it be when the mechanic is never there! When the mechanic did find time to work on it, he said he couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. 12 days later, Grandpa decided to call Mercury and see if they could tell us what the problem was. Come to find out, the mechanic was completely off base with what he thought was wrong with it. So Grandpa decided to go down there and see if they could try what Mercury had suggested before ordering a new part, which by the way was a feat in itself because the woman who orders the parts was apparently in Traverse City so the parts couldn't ordered. Needless to say on this visit on the 12th day, Mill Town asked Grandpa to take is boat elsewhere because they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. It’s my understanding that Milltown was very frustrated with my Grandfather. Grandpa took the boat to Higgins Lake to be fixed. Higgins lake had it fixed inside of 4 hours on the same day it was taken there! I am very surprised they are still in business today. I would not and will not recommend this place to anyone! Grandpa has had a cabin down the street from Milltown for over 30 years, needless to say, he will be sure everyone he knows in the area will know what a bad experience he had at Milltown.
Sincerely,
An Extremely Disappointed Customer
