Story

The Milwaukee Brat House is a bar/restaurant that focuses on serving quality Milwaukee themed pub food and cold drinks.

Starting in 2008 with Jack Schaefer and Mike Kellogg, the original Brat House opened on Old World 3rd Street. Jack was a Marine and wanted to open an American bar in honor of those who serve. He passed away shortly after the bar opened, but we work hard to continue to honor his memory and dream!

We serve classic pub food with a heavy Milwaukee influence. A focus on beer boiled brats and an outstanding fish fry is the key to what drives the success of our food program, and we're excited to bring that to the Village of Shorewood.

We are proud to offer food from lunch until bar time, brunch on the weekends, and shuttles to local events!

We are on schedule to open in August, we'll keep everyone in the loop as the date gets closer!
