Perfect braids but you need patience . It takes a long time to do medium notless braids not too long. Appt 10am left at about 5:30pm

I truly love this place, mama mimi, dajata and aunt are just amazing and skilled. This is my favorite hair braiding salon. Also my head has not ever been in pain after.

Staff are very unprofessional while working on your hair. They asked to get paid as soon as you sit in the chair after waiting 3hours for them to start. They gotta eat and go to the store first

Medium knotless $190 I always come here for braids they never disappoint. The only thing is you can book an appointment but won’t start until the next hour.

I stopped by to see if my adult daughter was done getting her hair braided. It’s just after 2pm and she’s been waiting from 8am to get her edges done. There were 6 women working on heads already and she had to wait. That’s not a problem. I sat down and was talking to my daughter for a bit ,then she got up to use the phone outside. A young lady was sitting there also waiting. To be friendly, I asked her if she was next and she said she didn’t know. Immediately one of the women started talking in her native language to the others. I didn’t know at the time she was talking about me. I said to the young lady, oh okay, my daughter has been waiting since 8 o’clock. The woman then approached me and said she meaning my daughter didn’t have an appointment. I said, I know hon, she said you told her that you didn’t take for touch ups and that people just have to walk in. She rudely said we’re not obligated to do anyone’s hair if they don’t have an appointment. I was in total disbelief. I said but that makes no sense. It’s like if I should get a full relaxer and then told by the stylist that she isn’t obligated to do my touch ups. She said you’re not doing your hair you have to leave. I said wow, really? I got up and left. Remember my daughter is still outside. The woman came behind me and locked the door. I was shocked!!! I turned around and gestured to them pointing about braiding my daughter’s hair. She unlocked the door and I stuck my head in and said I am going to give you a bad review. Yes, I wasn’t getting my hair done today but that’s where I got my braids done before and I gave them an excellent review. That’s why my daughter drove from Bergen County to do her hair there . But this woman…She is unprofessional, disrespectful and rude. Not to mention EXTRA, because that was so uncalled for.Service: Box Braids

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. First time I went I had an unpleasant experience. Very loud workers who kept eating and talking whilst working on customers hair. Then I got home and realized my braids were already loosing because the tips weren’t finished well. I called the manager to complain and she dismissively said I should let her know next time I am in so she would ensure my hair is done properly. I don’t know what I was thinking by booking an appointment to go in next time ‍, I got there at appointment time and the same manager asks me to wait till a worker comes because all the ladies there were already working. I ask her for how long I need to wait as first time I came I waited for ages before my hair was made and she rudely replies that she can not tell when another worker will get there but whenever someone comes then my hair will be braided . I go ahead to ask why they book me for 9.30am when they aren’t sure when they will start she becomes rude and starts yelling at me saying she can not do anything about it. I ask her why she’s being rude and she goes ahead to say “we Africans” are always like that. I take my things and walk out of the shop and she opens the door comes after me yelling after me on the street as I walk away. Never ever will I ever go there or ask anyone to go.
