I was happy till an other customer was not satisfied and my tech switch, first I didn’t mind it because she didn’t do anything yet but as she start doing my nail, she keep making the fresh line but it wasn’t coming right I even recommend to change my style and she deep my finger in paint and I am expecting her to do her thing that she will clean the polish off my skin and she caught attitude and move my hand around like she cleaning it make it no better, and I understand mistake do happen but least apologize or make me feel like you fixing it! This is specifically her because I was ready to pay, tip and recommend but her attitude and she tell me it will go away as day go by and wash it off,.. if she can’t clean it with alcohol while I’m there how it’s going to get off when I get home?? And she have the audacity to tell me people can’t see it it’s only me like HELLOOO I’m here for me nobody else! So horrible! My tech who started my nail said she will redo it and for free next time and I’m hold her accountable for that because she shouldn’t have left me on an other. Tech hand if she knew she couldn’t take care of the job!!!Service: Gel manicures
Second time visiting- Nicky makes the salon so welcoming and friendly! Request Chanel if you can- she’s detail oriented, super friendly, fast service, and my manis last for weeks. My last manicure, I only lost a few nails 4 weeks in from kayaking. This is my new nail spot!
Jenny took excellent care of me at the Mimosa salon today! I came in to get a mani/pedi no gel after finding out the R st location was temporarily closed. I walked over the 10 min and they took me immediately it was 1:30pm on a tues and offered me the standard mimosa or champagne. I had a wonderful pedicure $38 for the exfoliating one and mani$20 and I absolutely love the color. Everything is sterilized, they line the basin, and the chairs look clean. Wish I had asked for an extra coat on my fingers, but overall I'm very pleased. Great massage and shaping. *excuse my hideous feet
The only benefit about this salon that sets them apart from others in the area is the late hours of operation. However, I do not recommend. Upon my visit I was greeted and seated in a pedicure chair for my polish change. Unbeknownst to me was I gonna spend an hour in this place for my service. The service was horrible, the salon is filthy AND I got a lot of lip from the service provider when I was not happy with my toe aesthetic. I had to address the shaping of my toes and ask that she go back and fix them. My big toes didn't look close to being similar at all. Hated it. I did ask for stones and I was specific about the size and color that I wanted. The service provider not sure of her name because she DID NOT introduce herself at all decided to put the size AND color that she wanted. We had gone over it prior to her even placing the stones so I was confused as to why the stones are different colors. Everything about my visit was mediocre. Every time I corrected her she had a rebuttal and followed with "but it's ok." No it's not ok. I forgot why I stopped coming here but I was soon reminded. What I didn't appreciate is the inability to make things right. The service provider was wrong but refused to apologize and make things right. Instead she was rude and dismissive towards my wants. I will not be returning. I don't give a damn about how late y'all stay open.
Stopped in as an out of towner and had a great experience. Has been in business for 17 years acc to the owner. Very bustling and lively salon. Nobody seemed to come in with an appointment so unlikely that you need one. Not particularly luxurious atmosphere-wise but they do a great job with nails!
Since I arrived it was terrible. I arrived ten minutes before my appointment, 45 minutes later I had to extend the parking time because I was still waiting. My appointment was at 7:15 pm at the Connecticut Av. location and they started seeing me at 7:47 pm. They didn't even offer me water for waiting, but they did distribute drinks to others, which I suppose were the famous mimosas that the person who recommended the place told me about. I only put two stars which is perhaps a lot because the nails do not look bad until you see them in person very closely, the nails have air bubbles and they feel lumps of paint like when the nail polish is not well applied. While they were making them for me, a lady brought money to the person who attended me while he was cleaning my nails, he took the money, and began to look in his wallet and took out more, left the stall and came back, without even cleaning his hands. Then He call someone else to do the design for me which is just close to what I showed him and then he kept working quickly and left me. The worst experience I've ever had in a salon in my life, from start to finish. Still treat them well and pay them 20% tip. but I have two more Groupon's that I wish The receive a refund to do not use anymore at this place.
I had a gel manicure today at this salon. I made a reservation for the afternoon the day before and had no problems getting my nails done. The technician was professional and nice. I enjoyed some “me” time while getting my nails done. Very clean space, and also a good deal for great work!Service: Gel manicures
I've gotten a couple of lovely gel manicures here with nail art. The end results look great and both the technicians I went to were very committed to making the end product look good. I would advise not being afraid to ask for more coats of polish or touch ups where you see the need. Mild downsides are that the manicure tools did not come in sanitary bags and the price was a little steep $50-60.
This nail salon is honestly horrible. I went in for a pedicure… the lady cut my toe nails dry, didn’t even let them soak first. No cuticle lotion or oil was used. Cut too deep in my sides of my toenail. No gloves? That’s so trifling. She was on her phone and then immediately came to do my feet without washing her hands. After she was done my feet, she went to do a manicure and didn’t even wash her hands. The cuticle nippers weren’t cleaned.. Honestly will not be returning. It also was very dirty in there. Was not worth $50. Also was overcharged. I booked for a pedicure with the callus removal and didn’t receive the callus removal. Just save your money and time… I know this nail salon is open late so it might be convenient, but it’s not worth it at all.
nails were done well, but during mechanical filing he nicked my cuticles and I was bleeding from 4 different fingers. It is painful when it happens and it’s painful for several days after every time my hands get wet and the cuts burn. I was disappointed they weren’t more careful and gentle after the first time they see it’s bleeding. This happened to me somewhere else too, maybe it’s common but I hate it and won’t be going back.
