Minot International Airport

Absolutely horrible facility. Very rude employees, and not enough employees. In a North Dakota winter one can not predict when car trouble and bad weather will arise. Admittedly I got to the airport later than usual for both reasons. Upon arrival I had plenty of time to make my flight but there was no employee to check my bag. I went through TSA since I saw no employees, I checked to see if I would make it and the flight attendant assured that I had enough time. Calm and relieved that I made my flight, I put everything back in my bag then an employee came out and said “you aren’t going anywhere”. Not knowing what I did I said excuse me? He then said my bag is to big; however NOBODY WAS THERE TO CHECK MY BAG. So he escorted me out as I was pleading my case respectfully. He showed no sympathy only stating multiple times “I will be calling the police”—quite the North Dakota or even professional way to diffuse the situation. There were many options I could have took to make my flight. I could have valet my bag, which he admitted to being an option. Or I could have left it behind and still made my flight. However he escorted me out and threw those chances out the window, costing me the fee of a new ticket. Thank you for making me miss my flight Minot Airport, I will remember to go to Bismarck from now on.

I travel a lot and the new airport is very nice. However, baggage check is pretty silly - I get OKed with my carryon @ the front desk, but get checked again @ the Gate. TSA Check is extreme 2nd to none in the US and the Coffe Shop/Gift Shop is extremely under Staff with long waiting lines. I think I will start flying in/out Bismarck in the future.

I never had any problems flying out of here, i dont know about other people but I enjoy flying away from this place. Ha ha ha. Way too cold to live.

Terrible customer service here(TSA, gate agents, restaurant). I was the only person in line for TSA and it took over 20 minutes. I had 4 different people pat me down/search my belongings. I’ve spent less time immigrating through different countries than this airport. Getting anything to eat or drink here is an ordeal too. No sense of urgency from anyone and rude throughout the process. Please fire everyone and start again.

always fly out of here and never had problems with staff other than TSA that like to threaten to not let you on plane for any reason they see fit.
