Worst experience with a doctor ever. I visited last month because my hand was so swollen, and since I'm from out of state I wasn't able to visit an actual clinic. Got seen pretty quickly, but only to be belittled. Sign on the wall said they can help with "skin conditions" but they didn't even want to do any investigation on me. She just kept yelling at me and my boyfriend asking why do we think my hand is swollen. If we knew we wouldn't have came by. Couldn't run an allergy skin patch test. Such little effort was given throughout the whole process and felt like they just wanted us out. After about 5 minutes of going no where and seeing me nearly starting to cry, over this horrible experience, she ending up prescribing super basic $5 inflammation medicine. The bill just came in today, at least it was only $4 because my insurance covered the other $146. If the person checking us in knew they couldn't do anything, they should've said something. Such a waste of time and money. Never going here again.
Total waste of money - they don't tell you if you are covered before you go in and hit you with a minimum charge of 90 dollars. The provider looked at me after hearing what me issue was and said "what do you want me to do about it?" They screen the issue before you go in. they have your insurance before you go in, why would you let me in if you are incompetent and I am not covered. I was told I was covered, then suddenly after, I was no longer covered. Absolute waste. DO NOT COME HERE. they barely even spoke English. I can't explain symptoms in another language. Who thought this was a good idea?
An absolute waist of time and money. If you like to be interrupted every time the provider asks you a question then this place is for you. It was very apparent they were more worried about checking boxes on their computer than actually listening to what you have to say. There was complete lack of a display of medical knowledge. I got the impression without the screen telling her exactly what to do and say she would have been lost. She actually told me since I didn’t have any symptoms to take over the counter meds. She might have known my symptoms had she listened and not continually interrupted.
Charges $89 to be seen virtually for an emergency refill. Insane.
I came here the other day with a horrible sore throat and other cold symptoms. Kristi met with me within 20 minutes and got to the bottom of all my problems. She really took the time to talk through my symptoms, the probable causes and the right course of action. It was probably one of the best experiences I've had with a doctor/nurse practitioner ever, and I will definitely be back next time I'm not feeling well!
Heaven help you if you try to use their website to try to schedule an appointment and it doesn't work. Heaven help you if you try call them. It's automated voice hell where every option results in being disconnected after 5+ minutes of being read endless lists of choices that never give any information. Utterly incomprehensible! And every phone number leads to this same system... Later on determined the problem with the website was due to incompatibility with the Google Chrome browser. Safari worked and the New Edge browser worked. But SHAME ON CVS - both for their inept, incompetent IT, and for their horrific automated phone system implementation.
We don't think it is worth it. We've been twice, and each time, it's just a money drain. Very nice provider, but no relief of symptoms. Rapid strep tests as well as regular strep tests sent to labs, one of which later came back positive. Yet no aggressive therapy or meds given at point of service, so why even go? I think the urgent clinic industry has just become another money-maker. Better to suffer with our money than without it.
I check the website around 9AM this morning and it tells me 17 minutes for walk ins only and I cant schedule anything past 3:10PM. I live in Maricopa so it’s already a 30 minute drive so I’m hoping the tome wont be any more by the time I get there hence I couldn’t schedule online till later. I needed women’s services in which I felt couldn’t wait, I walk in to the self service kiosk the receptionist helps me out and we both see its telling me 0 minutes with only one person on the list. As soon as I finish checking in the wait time updates to 3 hours with my name at the bottom being before their lunch hour. The receptionist watched me check in with the small wait time and even said to the provider it just happened. But instead of taking me standing right there she tells me they’ll give me a call during my approximate time 3 Hours later Why is it I couldn’t schedule any appointment before hand and when showing up I still couldn’t get the walk in?? I was there ready to go while the others who just checked in still would be making their way. Completely unfair and ridiculous to get an appointment. Might as well wait the three weeks all my local doctors tell me for the next appointment.
After reading reviews and complaints about the service or lack of aggressive therapy or medications, I must say I had a great experience there. Staff was kind and professional. Keep in mind, it IS a clinic it's not a treatment center, urgent care, or actual regular doctor office. It is a clinic meant for minor issues. You shouldn't go to a place like this if you need heavy duty medications or treatment. It's a no brainier. If you have minor to moderate medical needs, this is a great place to visit!
Leslie was great, super informative and very friendly. We talked about my various options for treatment, so we could choose what was best for me. Will always return to this location. I really feel that if any other Minute Clinics are struggling you need to send them to the other clinics to straighten them out.
