Miss Hair Braiding Gallery

This salon is TERRIBLE. I have gone twice and had my hair done both experiences were horrible. I went the second time because it’s the ONLY braiding salon in the area. The stylist messed up my hair. I had to go back for her to fix it and she refused to add another pack because she said I didn’t need it and proceeded to leave a WHOLE HOLE IN MY HAIR. NOT EVER AGAIN.

DO NOT GO HERE! I tell you RUN away! I came into the shop to get my butterfly locs on 8/8/2021 and by day number 2, the locs were already coming off and the photo shows the hair after 1 week. I came back a week later on 8/15/2021 to get her to redo the pieces that came off and she never did. The locs that came off broke off some parts of my hair and I have had to cut my hair since this incident. I spent $400 on this hairstyle and after going back to Miss the woman who owns the shop she said she wouldn’t give me a refund. She also talks to much and wastes her clients time. If you love your hair and money I would not recommend going here.

They made me sit for an hour before they begun braiding my hair. They told me a lower price when I made the appointment and on the day of braiding they told me a higher price. They try to be nice but they are extremely expensive and I think they could use more honesty. Immediately after doing my hair I could feel it wasn't neat/strong, in one week my twists were looking old. I wouldn't recommend this place especially if someone could find a cheaper one that does a great job!

Arrived to the shop at 10:45am. Owner did not start my hair until 12:30pm. Owner braided my hair past my butt after I told her I was a working professional and my hair couldn't be past my waist. I did not leave the shop until 9:30pm. Had to go back three days later after Owner ducked my phone calls to get my hair fixed to the correct lenght. In the end, I over paid by $50 and waisted hours and days of my time. Most of all, Owner has a vendetta against black American women and is very passive aggressive. Owner demonstrates systemic racism towards black American women by referring to us as "they or them." If you like smooth, professional business where you understand what you are paying for...this is not the establishment for you!

The young lady did well, and she listened,not tight but neat after 10 year's finally got a short I've been getting braids for over 30 years

I just want to say that her underage daughter didn’t start on my hair until after an hour of being there. She had her underage daughter do my hair. The owner never showed after telling me she was a few minutes away. For a hair style that normally takes me 2 hours anywhere else, took me over 8 hours here! My part was crooked and my braids were coming undone. Over priced for their quality...Worst place to come to for anything!!!

I have been coming to Miss for ten years. She has always done a wonderful job. She always makes sure my hair is done right. Depending on the style you pay a different price. As is common in all hair galleries. Miss works with you on the price if your funds are low. The staff has always been nice and I usually dont sit all day. I was shocked to read some of the other reviews. That has not been my experience at Miss Hair Braiding Gallery.

My experience with Miss Hair Braiding Gallery was the best. Miss was very professional and sweet. She took good care of me, made sure I was comfortable, and even let me lay my head down when my neck was hurting on the last few twist. I've received numerous compliments about my twist. If you want to get braids or twist done by the best go to Miss!

So I went to Miss for the first time. My experience was speak less. Why because you never find to many Professionals that cares for there clients. They are more about the money. I traveled all the way from West Virginia to get my hair done by her. An when I tell you, she got it hands down. The style I wanted no one was in the shop to do it. But she still got me right. I will definitely come back to her. An I will let my family an friends know about her. The reviews I have read was the truth. She is beyond words. Yes one of the nicest places I have came to. So to Miss your the bomb in the uptown area. Thank you so much for making my experience excellent. . Yes an she differently gave me a big discount from a almost 200 dollar style for 140.Now tell me that ain't bomb. An yes it is a very clean an it's just so layed back. Again thank you Miss for the best experience. The best experience from any other shops I have been to.

my name is fatou doup and miss hair branding gallery is a good place to go to the pricess at good and their work is good they are also friendly and even though people are disrespectful and loud and complain miss is respecful and understanding and make the customer please the salon is professional and treat customers like family and are ontime and they have good value and quality I will always come to miss's salon. even though she said it has to be an appointment because of covid she let me come withought a appointment and she lett me come with my kids even though I couldn't do that because of covid because of the amount of people that can enter she found a way to make it work.
