Jenny is amazing!! I had a difficult time explaining what I wanted, partly because I wasn't totally sure, and she did such a good job!! So careful of all the small details, and I think this is the coolest haircut I've gotten in years. Great price so make sure to tip her well! She really takes her time to make sure you are happy. Also not too much chit-chat since she was super focused on making sure she made everything perfect. A friend recommended me to this place without naming anyone in particular, so her colleagues are probably just as great!

Jenny cut mine and my girlfriend's hair and I could not be more pleased with the results! She did such an amazing job and I got a big boost of confidence seeing myself with a lovely haircut after not having it cut for a little over a year. 10/10 great people, great haircut and a great price too. I am a European-American senior woman. I've been getting my hair cut here at a very reasonable price for almost two years. The very skilled stylists all take meticulous care to please customers and are very courteous. I saw the review by glam girl that only Latinx clients were welcome. I have recently recommended Alex's to African-American friends and I asked the salon about Glam girl's review. I was told that her review was 3 years old, that the salon personnel were different now, and that Alex's was glad to have a diverse clientele. They did not dismiss, as I did not, the discrimination experienced by Glam girl.

First time customer and I booked my appointment online. My cut was in the middle of the week and in the afternoon. Great price $20 + $1 credit card transaction fee for a haircut that my wife approves. I am just glad I found this place. Thanks.Services: Buzz cut

Unfortunately, prices have been raised to $25 for a simple haircut, and they charge an extra dollar for paying with a card...and then expect you to tip on top of that. I remember when it used to be $17...maybe even less years before that.Service: Haircut

This was my first haircut in DC after moving to Columbia Heights. It’s the perfect haircut. I don’t know how, and I don’t know why, but on their first try they gave me the perfect haircut. For as long as I live I’m going here, because, again, it’s literally the perfect haircut. 10/5 stars if I could give them

They do amazing work! Had been growing out my hair for a while and decided it was time for a trim. It was about 15-20 mins in the chair and I couldn’t be happier with the results. All three barbers/stylists were super friendly. Great service and I highly recommend going to Alex’s!
