Rachel is a class act. She graciously accommodated my clients who had booked and re-booked their Covid-wedding four times! She was sincerely willing to pivot when their big wedding became a smaller cocktail party reception. And that’s just Rachel the person. The food was out of this world, and I’m not even vegan! Everything was generously portioned and absolutely delicious - my favorite was the gnocchi and the “salami” made from beets - wow, I had no idea how delicious vegan food could be. Can’t wait to dine at her cozy restaurant in Philly. Thank you, Rachel, for your kindness, flexibility, generosity and serious foodie skills. I’m a fan!
Wonderful setting for an intimate evening wedding. Miss Rachel and staff were a delight. As for the food...WOW. Four course meal see menu picture for details capped off by a blueberry lemon with lavender frosting wedding cake. Sublime.
A 5 course gourmet vegan experience *chef kiss*. If you can snag a reservation off their website, do it!! Totally worth every penny. Watch their insta stories too, they'll post when someone cancels and a spot opens up! I am kind of a picky eater but I left satisfied and proud to have tried new things! Parking: Free street parking around the venue. There is also a parking garage for under $10 near Constitution Health Plaza.
Incredible food in a cozy neighborhood spot. Took years to finally get a table. I'm not vegan, but adventurous. Loved it. Appreciated the understated non intrusive service.Food: 5/5
Superb concept.Meeting new people. Delicious fresh vegan food and events like cheesemaking are also held by Rachel. Fixed menu prepaid online and the prices included tip and taxes so we do not need to pay anything there. Open on selected days. Please check online for reservations. Very sweet people and great service
Delicious food and a homey atmosphere. Our favorites were the biscuit and pasta courses. Definitely a great pick for a celebratory meal!
Went for their Philly vegan week BBQ and wow did I leave satisfied. The seitan was in a rich dark sauce and was not too chewey at all. The biscuits were some of the best I ever had and the Mac and "cheese" blew my mind. I don't usually go for the Mac, but I ate all of it. The owners were small very warm, welcoming and attentive. If you ever have the chance to go, definitely hit up miss rachel's pantry!
I was there for an event so I can't speak to their dinners. But the food they catered was ABSOLUTELY hands down some of the best food I've ever tasted. All vegan and there was nothing in the large spread that didn't make my mouth water and crave more. I can't wait to come back here for a dinner sometime! If you've never tried vegan food, maybe don't start here because it's all going to be downhill after eating their amazing creations.
We had our wedding reception at Miss Rachel’s Pantry and it was absolutely perfect. I’ve been vegan for over 18 years and have eaten at A LOT of vegan restaurants all over, and the food we had that night easily held its own among the best—beautifully presented, layered with interesting flavors, creative and delicious. Several guests, including worldly omnivores, said it was the best meal they’d ever had. The atmosphere is charming, the service unobtrusive and efficient, and Miss Rachel herself is very involved and a pleasure to work with. Shortly after we made our reservation, she asked us for a list of favorite ingredients, most of which were masterfully incorporated into the reception dinner. It was our first time dining there, and frankly I was a little skeptical Miss Rachel’s Pantry was the best choice in a town with places like Vedge, Tomo, and Bar Bombón, but it really blew me away. Can’t recommend enough.
I would give Miss Rachel's Pantry 10 stars if I could! Take your non-vegan friends here and their minds will be blown away. It's mind boggling how good this food is. I love everything from the food to the presentation and plating to the ambiance. The hostess and staff were friendly and inviting and when Rachel came out to say hello at the end I felt star-struck. FYI you will need to make reservations a long time in advance. We pre-paid for our dinner and their was a set menu for the evening, and I am in love with this method of dining out. It is BYOB but they are very willing to accommodate chilling and pouring for you.
