Mix Bar and Grille

I came here for a friend's birthday. She reserved several tables for a buffet dinner. The package included 2 bottles of champagne. The reservation was for 7pm, food wasn't ready until almost 9pm. Drinks were slow because the ice machine was broken and they were out of liquor - they sent people to go buy both. The band spend a couple of hours rehearsing while patrons sat in the restaurant, which contributed to my headache... The DJ that came out afterward was good. The building has speakers outside that play the music also, and shrieks with a lot of feedback if you ever step outside to hear it. The waitstaff was nice and attentive. There was an issue with a doorman who brought his plate over to our buffet and helped himself to some food... what the heck! He was called out and put it back ‍ The food was good, but not enough for the amount of people that were paid for. We were served water in plastic cups and also given plastic flatware. There is potential here, but they need to step it up.

This was a disappointment. When we arrived we came in for cocktails and learned that they specifically made 6-8 drinks. When asked about other common cocktails we were informed that they didn’t have the liquor ingredients for a mule, an old fashioned, etc. we ordered dinner and there were several menu items not available at the time of our visit. We also were not expecting such a large bill but it was fine. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff was attentive. There appeared to be many people who came for dancing and they looked very happy.

We recently hosted a holiday event at Mix Bar and Grille and couldn't be more pleased with the space, food and drink. There were more than enough comfortable chairs and tables for dining, but it was also open enough to allow for mingling and some dancing. The food and drinks were delicious recommend the rum punch!. And Juste and the bartenders were all friendly, attentive, and accommodating to our needs. I hope to have an excuse to host another event here soon. Would highly recommend!

Had a fabulous time and celebrated my birthday. Amazing carribean music and beautiful ambiance. The band was very welcoming, kind and did shout out birthdays , got to dance on stage. Awesome customer service, delicious food and drinks. I would definitely come here again for the live music and ambiance and food

Clean, great food, lovely ambiance, live music was plus with a mix of DJ before and afterwards. Decor nice. I had a great time! Only reason why I gave them a 4 which would have been a 4.5 was because when I went to sit down at a table there was nothing stating that it was reserved as well as I asked the young man that worked there, so half way through the night I ended up having to get up. I def would have seated myself elsewhere had I not been told it was available. But all in all I loved the fact that the atmosphere catered to grown and sexy .

Food was very good! Wings were the best! There was a DJ playing Afrobeats and 2000s hip hop, which added to a fun evening! Our waitress, Kamara, was very attentive! My group had an excellent time!

If you are planning on renting their space for an event, do not bother. Everything you read about Juste Pehoua, the owner is true. He is very unprofessional, unorganized, rude, and dangerous. I am embarrassed that I suggested this place to host a client's baby shower. He lied about multiple things that he had agreed to, and the event was ruined as he has our guests waiting for 2 hours for food and drinks. Luckily the bartender/ manager Jay and Marion witnessed everything and advocated for me, and this was one of many missteps in the process of planning this event. Once Juste asked for feedback, I stated my grievances with the whole experience, and was met with him being irate and aggressive and yelling at me. It was very uncomfortable and unsettling and down right scary. this was after I suggested we talk via email from that point forward because things went left and wanted to protect myself in case anything further happened. If he is treating paying customers like that I cannot imagine how abusive he is to his staff. If it wasn't for his staff advocating for me and letting everyone know he lied about when the drinks were to come out for the guests, an extra fee that wasn't discussed until the day of would have had to be paid. I didn't get an apology or any accountability on his part, just a text message to say that the fee no longer had to be paid. I frequented the restaurant multiple times for dinner and dance lessons, but I cannot go back after this last interaction. And as a business owner myself, his behavior is appalling. HE IS DANGEROUS.

My girlfriend and I were working all day until 9:30 on a Thursday and she dealt with a lot of stressful stuff that day. She wanted to just stay in, curl up on the couch and watch a show, but I said, we need to walk a little, get the stress off us. So we looked for places that had a kitchen open late. Mix Bar and Grille came through! We only grabbed drinks and apps, but there was salsa dancing going on in front of us while we drank some rum punch and ate quesadillas. Her entire mood turned around in that next hour and I'm so glad we found this place. It meant a lot for the both of us.

Good vibes and friendly staff. My drink took almost an hour to serve, not sure why. But overall, the ambiance was good

The food was okay. Fries weren't the best but the quesadilla was good. Drinks were nice and the vibes were great.
