A modern Izakaya

Momi, “pearl” in Hawaiian, name of owner’s dog

Nonmi, inspired by the word nonbei (飲兵衛). The first part of the word non (飲ん) is derived from nomu (飲む), which means “to drink” in Japanese. Bei or Beh (兵衛) actually means soldier and it’s also a suffix to make verbs or nouns “personify”. Hence, nonbei is someone who enjoys drinking. Nonmi is the Momi version of nonbei. Happy drinking!

Phenomenal take out sushi and other food by an amazing chef. The ordering process is a little complicated, but it's worth it for the specials Chef Chris periodically offers. I honestly can't wait to try indoor dining when things look better.
We had an amazing Omakase dinner and it was perfection. Fantastic, unique dishes and some great sake. I highly recommend reaching out to the chef and setting up your done in experience. It's a small place and I believe he is only doing two seatings per night right now. We had the entire place to ourselves
Small intimate venue. Excellent variety of food. My favorite so far is the bento box for brunch. Bay scallops special was exquisite.
The best. Below is 2 different visits. Very creative Japanese cuisine with a Hawaiian flair.
Absolutely fantastic omakase experience. Worth every penny and chef Chris is a wonderfully funny guy! I especially loved the Japanese baby Spanish mackerel nigiri and the tofu-sesame crab appetizer.
One of the best dining experience in town!
We ate brunch here and it was amazing. The food was delicious and unlike any Japanese food I've had before. There is amazing attention to detail in the taste. They are also incredibly Gluten-free friendly. Only one item on the brunch menu had wheat and the fryer was wheat free.
Food is really tasty but portion too small. Not enough to share for 4 people, probably better for 2 people. Still a very cute little place to dine with friends.
