If you're looking for a fun, creative birthday party for a kid, I recommend the Monart School of Art in Southside Place. We celebrated my daughter's 7th birthday here, and she and her friends loved it! We opted for the Art Station party: Four art tables with different art/crafts for each table. The best part is, before the party, the kid can select the art/craft activities for the party, as the school sends you a list of birthday activity possibilities. My kid opted for coloring sun catchers, fans, and wooden animals, plus making crowns. Each kid was given a bag with their name to collect all of their completed art. There were 2 rooms: The Art/Crafts room and the Party room. This created a good environment for the kids to focus on the art, and when they were done, they went to the Party room to eat and unwind. As far as the parents, we were left to have adult conversations while the teachers observed the kids. The teachers were very attentive and kind to check on each kid. Overall, it was a great experience. Highly recommend to any party-planning parent.
My 5 year old child attended the Spring Break morning art camp and had so much fun. The theme was Avatar and although he didn’t know who the blue person was, it didn’t diminish the fun he had painting. Each day had a new art project which incorporated painting, coloring, and gluing.
We've been coming to Monart for more than 5 years now. My son is not an art person, and he still enjoyed the classes. My daughter has been a part of Monart' program since she was 3. She's 7 now and still loves it. My baby is in mommy-and-me class, and we both enjoy the class very much. The "art class day" is her favorite day of the week. The management is awesome. Ms. Daisy will make sure the teachers have a solid plan. She would also make herself available for parents, if there's anything that concerns you. Everything is very well organized. If there's a time conflict, they will try to work with you, provide you with options like makeup class, credit, etc. If you are uncertain your child would like the class or not, she will give you an opportunity to try out one class. Overall, they are very flexible and very willing to work with you. If there's enough demand for certain class, she would even consider adding a brand new class / bring back an old class. Monart is a good place for kids to develop interest and love for all kind of art including painting, drawing, anime, graphic design, fashion design, pottery, digital art, etc. It has been a great joy for my children, and I'd recommend for anyone to try!
This is a great place where your children should be. Let your children enhance their imagination and fine motor skills while having fun. You feel the warmness of a family-owned company. My son has been attending this school, I'm so happy to have found it online thanks to reviews like mine. Do try it!
My daughter has been going to Monart for 6 years since she was 3. She is now 8.5, and still loves coming here every Saturday for her drawing classes. The instruction is great, and over years, I watched my daughter’s confidence in drawing build up, she now progressed to the Drawing Fundamentals II. They have great choice of creative classes; we also tried sculpture class and my daughter loved it. Unlike some other schools, they give me refund for the missed classes which is great. My daughter loves illustration and comics, so next semester we are excited to try their “Comic Book Creation” class, can’t wait to start. I love this school: they have wide choice of classes and wonderful creative atmosphere. They genuinely prioritize children’s creativity and artistic development over everything else. Over the years, we established great relationships with the teachers and feel here at home.
My son LOVES Monart Summer Camp! He looks forward to going every year. They have gone above and beyond to keep their doors open through this crazy time, and we will be forever grateful they have done so. Anna is wonderful with any questions that arise. It is an amazing place to cultivate their love of art! Thank you, Monart, for a fun and safe environment for our children!
