I had a walk in tour at The Montecito and was greeted with a warm welcome from Ms Angela Jordan. She was very polite and informative on all questions being asked about the property. I felt as if we connected right away and was very amazed by the unit shown. Ms Angela was very professional and polite throughout the tour and had me wanted to move in the same day. Another thing I love about this property is that they have 24 hour security which insures our safety. Thank you for a wonderful experience when touring. Keep up the great work Ms Angela
When we first moved in I was very happy with this community! We went from a one bedroom to a two because we needed more space and liked the community enough to stay. Over the last 2 months it seems the quality of our neighbors has decreased highly. People are constantly littering in parking spots on the 4th floor garage. It’s disgusting. They leave Starbucks cups and cigarette butts and other drink cups. Our packages have been stolen from our door and this in an increasingly common thing now. One time a package was taken between 9:20 & 9:45 pm. It was resealed and put back at our doormat the next morning. I have messaged the office about both of these issues multiple times via the Resident portal and they have never acknowledged any of the messages. Since switching units every month to month-and-a-half my air conditioner just doesn’t work. I put in a work order and someone comes to look at it and eventually says the compressor stopped working. I put in a work order last night and called to follow up today, to be proactive. I called a total of seven time and left a voicemail and was not called back. I had to go into the office which is problematic because we’re in a pandemic. Some people are immunocompromised and shouldn’t be around people, regardless of vaccination status, but especially in Texas where so many people don’t want to be vaccinated and there is no mask mandate and asked that someone look at it today because it was 81 degrees inside, while it has been running ALL DAY yay my energy bill. The person I spoke with did call someone and speak to someone about it but no one ever came. I had to leave shortly after and I checked my camera inside as well as my doorbell and no one ever tried to come. While I do not consider my problems very important or more important than the other people here, I do think someone having to spend multiple nights in south Texas heat with no air conditioner where they pay to live should be considered mildly important. We’re most likely going to have to rent a hotel room for tonight. Hopefully just tonight, assuming they come tomorrow. And assuming they fix the issue that makes it happen periodically. It happening periodically would not really be a concern to me if it would just be fixed when it DOES happen. Realizing how much this company does not care about its residents came where we are passed the 60 day window to give our notice to vacate and it’s extremely painful to think that whatever problems we have are just going to be ignored for another year. I’ve always thought that property management communication wasn’t important because I have always been able to fix/replace everything myself and avoided any need for maintenance, but now that I have had issues that are outside my control that actually have needed management and they DO NOT acknowledge me, I know how frustrating it is and want to make sure anyone looking at this property knows as well.
Lived here for 2 year, not a terrible place but if your unit is near the parking garage there will be lots of noise from cars, people and maintenance. My roommate also got towed in the garage even though she registered her vehicle with the office multiple times. Lots of roaches on the first floor. Maintenance is pretty quick to fix anything.
Wanted to move here but after the reviews, heeeeellllll nah! I toured here earlier this year, there was garbage all over the place then too. Residents complaining about the trash/mold/ac issues can report the complex by calling 311. Trash violations alone can result in a $10k fine. Good luck to all the tenants dealing with this
Over all a great area to live in and my apartment is definitely perfect . I’m planning on staying for year number three soon. No complaints that are major.
The location is the best part of this apartment complex. Other than the location, there isn’t much to love. I am not usually one to write a bad review, but this apartment complex has gone down hill very fast. First off, half of the equipment in the gym is either broken or has been stolen see photo below of missing dumbbells. I mentioned this months ago to the apartment complex and nothing was ever done despite the cameras they have in there. Second, I had low water pressure for 6 months and was told that it was a plumbing issue. It doesn’t take 6 months to fix a plumbing issue regardless of how bad the issue would be. Third, the trash was hardly ever picked up my last few months there and the smell of death and rotten food was all throughout the hallways and the parking garage. Unacceptable for a 30 dollar trash fee per month. They were ALWAYS short on staff for maintenance the entire year I lived there. And lastly, the pool constantly looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in months. The 24/7 security lets ANYONE in and half the time they don’t check the guest information. I had several guests that drove right in and were never stopped by security. They only have one security guard per shift, so when other duties need to be fulfilled there is no one at the gate to let guests and residents in and a line backs up. The residents should never have to wait in the guest line to get to their home nor have I ever seen this in any other apartment complex. These are amenities and necessities that should never be an issue.
Had a good time while I was living there. But the new management team is always short of staff and no one other than the manager can give any update on deposit info. I have been waiting for 1.5 month to get my deposit after moving out. Could not get a hold from anyone about the refund progress and what is going on... .... old review: I just moved in for a month now. Truly enjoyed working with Kevin, Bianca and Jerrica in the move-in process. Kevin provided great help and support to me throughout the way. The apartment complex is in a great location. My room faces the pool area and most of the time it is pretty quiet. Maintenance was fast and responsive. So far I am happy with everything. -----2 years ago
If it were possible to rate this less than 1 star I would. The only thing good about this place is the location. We've lived here since 2017 and let me tell you, this place has surely joined the seaspool of horrible apartments. The former management was good. They paid attention to the needs of residents, and made sure the place was spotless. Since the new management took over, it has continuously gone down hill. We put work orders at least once a week not exaggerating. It takes them about 2 weeks+ to respond to the work orders, and that's if they do. The dumpster has been full for over 2 months and no one has bothered to come take it out. Enough is enough. No one deserves to live like this. Stay away.
Having lived here for 3+ years now, this is frankly economically one of the best apartments in the galleria area. The front office staff are great and very helpful. Whenever I need something, they’re very quick to help and check in to ensure you’re satisfied. I recently renewed my lease for another year and Bianca was immense with helping me decide whether to switch units and which will be best for my needs. The security here is also top notch, I never have to worry about my security and my guests are well treated. Finally, parking is great.
Looked nice, would’ve loved to tour. I got to the property, and the lady there told me it would be about a 20 min wait because she’s working by herself. I said no problem and went to sit down, she raised her voice at me and said I couldn’t be there at all because she needs to lock up the office. I asked where she wanted me to go then? She responded “I don’t know go to your car or something” so I did just that, and left.
