Moose Country

We come here at least once a year, usually during the St Paul Winter Carnival... So as long as you're okay with the mounted wildlife on the walls... You're in!! But then that's pretty typical of us Minnesotans! So don't forget to have your photo taken with "Stanley" the Moose! The service has always been friendly and on point! The food and drinks are good too and reasonably priced! They have a "Make-Your-Own" Bloody Mary Bar on Saturdays & Sundays from 10:30am - 3:00pm which only costs $4.50 each! But then on Saturday from 3:00pm - 6:00pm Happy Hour starts! Tap 16oz. domestics are $1.75! A great casual place to unwind during the winter months.... What are you waiting for?! I've had several of their Burgers. Pictured is their: Fish Tacos, Chicken-Pepperjack Melt w/ Sweet Potato Fries, Seasonal Daily Special - Pot Roast Burger w/ Garlic Mashed Potatoes & Walleye Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries. All were really good and anywhere from $11.00 - $14.00 but my favorite is still the Walleye & their S.P. Fries!

Well, I gave this only 2 stars because the service was soooooo slow. Walked in asked for 2 bloody Mary's and took about 20 minutes to get them. Upon walking in there was a note on the door about a problem in the kitchen and only a few available items to order. This was our first time here and our last. I think they are closing the end of April anyways. I had soup and salad and my boyfriend had the club sandwich. And we had an order of onion rings. We met 3 other friends there. 2 of us ordered the same thing. Everyone got their food about 35 to 40 minutes later, except me. Mine took another 15 minutes. All our friends were done while I was just beginning. Very disappointed in the service. I hope the servers step up their game in their next serving gig.

*This place is closed for good.* Steak special has improved recently. I've been visiting each week on Wednesday for the past couple of months. It's always been a good value for a NY strip. Past experiences varied. The over doneness of the steak was the only issue. They always corrected the order and for under $12 that's superb. My most recent visits have been medium-rare perfection. I highly recommend this establishment any night of the week. Staff is friendly and appear to enjoy pleasing the customers. If you like annoying others paying your favorite songs on TouchTunes you'll need to go someplace else. Pool tables up stairs and interesting trophy fish and animals decorate throughout. You are in Moose Country afterall. What did you expect?

Weird. Hooters-style waitress outfits, and apparently you need reservations. However, they were very accommodating for my last-minute happy hour gathering without reservations. Nice atmosphere. Very big full-sized moose inside. Good beer selection.

We went last Saturday with a group of friends for drinks and dancing to celebrate my Birthday and had a lot of fun! They played great music for dancing and had a good dance floor. The prices of the drinks were fairly reasonable and it wasn’t too packed so you could get drinks fairly easily. Also, the waitress was good about checking back with our table and catching us between dancing. I would recommend it for a fun night out!

I live very close to MC so try to frequent it. The food is always good, but the service is always haphazard. Slow, seemingly always tired or upset servers... Until last Saturday 10/21. Lexi. The. Best. Server. Ever. We were waiting for friends and she let coming back to check on us. After 45 minutes of waiting, we ordered without our friends. But up until the she kept it drinks full and checked back frequently. The rest of our meal was just as great. As I stated the good is always good, but now we are coming back more often because of Lexi. She won us over.

I used to love the build your own bloody bar where you even got to pick your own alcohol and pour your 'shot' of it yourself and trust me I brought everyone here. I understand letting customers pour the alcohol was reckless but i enjoyed the variety and choices which are no longer available. My last visit involved very poor service and poor food quality including dripping wet oily hash browns. Staff seemed too preoccupied to care and it took several attempts even after our table was cleared of food to get our check. Unfortunately we will not be returning and I will just have to enjoy the memories of the old times before it all went down hill

Staff is very friendly, food is good with a wide variety. I personally think the tap list is small and disappointed me to see the lack of local micro brews. Think all they had was summit. That aside it's been active for a long time and the atmosphere was great. Will return!

Service was horrible! It took our waitress 15 minutes to come to our table after we sat down, and another 20 minutes just to bring us drinks. I decided to order my burger right away since things were taking so long and my friends and I also ordered waters since we were having alcohol. Well my burger came before my water which was very upsetting. I had a juicy lucy and I understand that the middle doesn't get cooked that well, the even tell you that on the menu but my burger was RAW and the top of the burger was over cooked. I was upset about it but our waitress never came around to ask how the food was so I ate the fries and just waited. About a half hour later she came by and just took the food away without asking. We wanted to get another order of drinks but she walked away right after that so my friend had to go find her and tell her that we wanted another round of drinks and our checks. Well we waited another 20 minutes before our shots were brought to us. Keep in mind this was on a Sunday night and they weren't very busy. Terrible service, I will never go back. They are terrible at making drinks as well.

Good food. Friendly staff. Our server wasn't very good at remembering non alcoholic beverage orders. I asked three times for a water. I was there for an event in the upstairs area. Unfortunately there's no handicapped access to that part of the restaurant, so guts from our group literally carried up someone and then their wheelchair so that person could attend the event.
