My hair looks great! Moyhe got me in at the last minute and Charlotte did my hair and I am pleased.. I will definitely come back again! Stylist: Charlotte
I really don't like my hair. Got knotless braids about a week ago. It's bumpy..won't lay flat. Already fuzzy like its not going to last more than 2 weeks. I called the night before and they said they start at 120 for what I wanted. Got to the shop and the lady tried to charge 185. Was going to leave but owner said she could do for 140. The SAME style. The lady braiding my hair had an attitude.. didn't want to do it for the price. Paid to much for mediocre work. Next time will do myself.
Stylist did an awesome job on my braids. Agreed on a price before starting. Different price when she finished. No communication. I was very disappointed..I will warn anyone I recommend about pricing. Other than that, loved it..
A lady with blue hair braided my hair, she was about 30 minutes late, walked in assisting another client, but couldn’t understand anything the client was asking her , finally got to my head, her and another stylist went back and forth about hair jam VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, after that she talked THE ENTIRE TIME, she did my hair, talked, and stopped , talked and stop. My appointment was at 1230 , I did not leave that salon to 306. ! Mind you I told her I had to be to work at 230. !!!!! She told me 90$ on the phone, but when I got there she changed the price to $125, and all I got was 8 braids. ! I really don’t care to much about the price but they’re VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, kept calling “mama” on the phone , it was just a mess, and will NOT BE RETURNING. Oh and I don’t know what kind of products they’re using but it broke out the back of my hair REALLY BAD. !
Been going to Moyhe for over 20 years and she always leave me feeling very confident in my look. I've had everything from sew-ins, kinky twists, box braids, micros, crochet, corn rows and more. She has many years of experience and can tell you the best way to braid the hair for leave outs and closures etc. She's great with scheduling around your work hours. You can make a appointment on Sundays too if you need to. Moyhe and her braiders are very friendly and they listen to you to give you the results you desire. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND "MOYHE'S AFRICAN HAIR BRAIDING"
Sooooooo....here's the thing: if I could I wouldn't even give them a damn star! 1. I had an 11 appt. which she was 15 min late for 2. They put up an add on Craigslist advertising a $100 braid and $65 crochet special. Then I get to the shop and it's a whole other price and has to be a certain length 3. They have coupons on there website for specific services, which they don't value...so there of no use. 4. There rude as hell and all this happened yesterday. I even called on the phone to get all the details and no specific size or length was mentioned for the special. Needless to say I didn't get my hair done there! And I don't recommend anyone else go there either. I went to Priscas beauty supply on North Tryon. She's great and kept her word on her prices.
I really think whomever starts the braiding should finish it as well...The owner started braiding my hair and then her friend came to finish..That way you know they will be consistent on size, length and width....There was a lot of pulling my hair. I made it very clear to not pull on my hair and the lady braiding it made it very clear that she was doing it on purpose. You really have to watch these braiders bcuz alot of them do NOT have edges and I would hate to think they were trying to have the clients looking the same way...I normally have enough hair when I go to any other braiding shop but I had to leave out mid way of getting my hair braided to get more hair when I had more than enough...U have to watch ppl....The one who finished my hair braided all my hair but my grey hair...She left my grey hair out the braid which was clearly done on purpose..WHO DOES THAT!!!?? So i just pulled it out my scalp bcuz it did not look right to leave it in... I have one grey strand that is long and at the top front of my head..And I got box braids...There is no way u can tell me u didn't see it..HOW PETTY IS THAT!....I had to come home and finish cutting any hairs sticking out the braids bcuz the braider did not do so well on that part...Maybe you guys should get better scissors bcuz those that you all are using may be dull...Stop charging so much money for hair braiding when the service does not match PERIODT.....DO BETTER!
They made my scalp deform at the top. My actual flesh was flat instead of round. It took months for it to return to its normal form. Also they stop and start so much on your hair. Something that would normally take two hours takes like five. I will not be returning.
Moyhe was very nice. The salon on central was very clean & bright. Moyhe did my hair in a very timely manner. I would definitely go back again.
Went there and got micros and they made the back and side parts small. The top portion of my braids were parted to big and they didn't won't to fix it. She said that's how their suppose to be. These Africans think that Americans are stupid, but in reailty they are. Do they understand the word Micro???? I'm never going back there or to Aabies!!!
